Whilst I would like to consider myself one of the more positive posters on here at the moment, over the last couple of weeks I have been critical of performances from Whelan. Today, however, I thought he was very good, looking to play the ball forward (especially prior to Rory getting sent off) which he has not done of late. Please keep it up Glenn

Thought Glenn was decent today, battled well and kept hold of possession fairly well.
Probably agree with Beatts as MOTM although Shawcross was immense at the back.
On a different note, any news monkey? ;D

He was my man of the match Good thing its a game of opinions then as I thought he was our worst player out there today. He was ok but I thought the others put in far better performances.

did well , just needs to keep improving , still tends to give possession away easily which can cost us at this level, did it once today , byt his effort and attitude like the rest was spot on

He put Ethers away down the flank with a clever ball with his weak foot for the goal, the difference is with Diao and with his better foot he would not have played that ball or Am Faye as they are too defensive so Ethers would not have got that service to get to the byline to cross.

That chip over to Etherington for the goal was a fantastic bit of creativity.

THREE though, that sounds good.
Would any of the three be considered an AMAZING signing? e.g Fred, Dindane??

Camara sprung to mind when I read 'obvious'. Yeah. Isn't this the very definition of irony? Tone goes to great lengths to spell out to the media that he does his transfer business with football clubs and nobody else, and then proceeds to phone Brucie during a live BBC interview. Priceless. ;D

Hopefully he was ringing Brucey up about Koumas rather than Camara, or MAYBE BOTH?? ;D Brucie mentioned a centre forward "ripping his head off" and "that Senegalese mob" at Stoke. Make of that what you will.

All about opinions, I though he was poor again. I thought he was woeful at Spurs, but was pleased with his performance today in particular first half. Just watching game again on Sky+, his pass to Etherington for him to cross for the goal was excellent

All about opinions, I though he was poor again. With all due respect, that's a load of arse. I thought he covered every blade of grass today and him and the rest of the midfield shielded the back four excellently. He also played an excellent ball down to Etherington in the build up to the goal! I don't know what people expect of him but, for me, apart from the Spurs game, he's been pretty good recently. He's not going to rip up any trees but, then again, when have any of our midfield been spectacular? £500k seems like money well spent in my opinion. Keep it up Glenn.
