Many candidates for MOM today and I wouldn't argue with anyones choice but a special mention for Pugh who despite few starts played as well as anyone today.
Maybe a kick up the arse for Higginbottom a swell.

I hate to criticise anyone after that great win today, but Pugh at left back was woeful. Gave the ball away so many times in the first 20 minutes. Did no-one else notice that almost every Man City attack was launched down their right towards Pugh in the first 20 mins. I think they'd pinged him as the weak link pretty early.
Switching Pugh into the centre did work well, especially as he was able to mop up Whelan's rather poor performance.
James Beattie quality finish, sir.
Stoke crowd - awesome. My voice ain't gonna come back for days.
Goooooooooarrrrrrrrrrrrn Stoke

Danny and Glenn both played really well. What game were you watching?

I like Pugh, like the way he plays. However, his best position is midfield, but i too thought he had a pretty good game today !

Danny Pugh is the best centre midfielder at this football club and he will be a regular there before the end of the season

Shawcross followed by Whelan who was excellent today in spite of the predictable negativity regarding him on this thread by a few muppets. Dont you realise that Pulis does not do creative central midfielders so even if he was decent going forward, which I believe he is, that he is prevented from doing so
