Some on here won't know who I'm talking about but he came to Stoke for a trial some years ago. Then went to other clubs including Dunfermline and Blackpool (who wanted him, I've since been told). Anyway he rang me the other day to say he was now playing for a Greek team called Ionikos in their second division (Beta Ethniki), but the next thing he asked me was how was Stoke doing and did I think they'd stay up? The signed Stoke shirt he kept from his trial at Stoke is in his Dad's taverna, in Skala Kalloni*, Lesbos, framed on the wall. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikos_Ghalasuk.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DK4VbgwQj87g&source*(Believe me you've got to go there sometime and Skala Eressos).

So much for him being the next big thing Eye!
I seem to recall you raving about this particular foreign import and lambasting Mr Pulis for having the audacity not to consider signing him.
Greek 2nd Division? I wonder what sort of standard that league is?

the 2nd tier of GREEK football Not trying to make a point here but that's not a bad level to be at in European stakes, probably lower Championship/ League One. He was never going to do it at Stoke, but on a free and loaned out who knows? The point I was making was his and his team mates' interest in the English game. I think the bookies are making a killing on their betting. ;D
