Just seen on SSN that according to the gospel that is the Daily Star....that QPR are preparing bid for Man Citeh's Michael Johnson....surely worth a punt by ourselves? Box-to-box midfielder, lost his way a bit at City, may need a cuddle Tone!!!!!!!!

Probably the greatest 400M runner of all time - but well past his best now. Talks sense as a pundit on the BBC though.

I can't say I have seen enough of him recently to know whether he would do a good job or not. One problem with only 16 games to go is that a player who has not been playing many first team games may take time to find their feet - and do we have that time? You can tell Beattie has been playing regularly, even though that was in the Championship, he looks sharp and 100% match fit.
That is one reason why I would not be opposed to Ledley joining us - he is fit as a fiddle (200 games by the age of 21 is bloody impressive) and would hit the ground running.

I think Ledley is a no go personally, especially as others are now putting in offers, If though Ledley is Tp's 1st choice I bet this is no plan B and it wouldnt surprise me one bit if we sign no one else!
But as you say whoever we look at they have to hit the ground running, unlike Davies, where the hell is he?

Just one thing bothers me whilst everyone is talking new transfers is TPs remarks in the Sentinel "This squad is good enough to stay up". It makes me worry,I have heard the words before.

If this guy goes to QPR for 2M and we're not even in for him it's an absolute travesty!!!
If this bloke IS available from Man City for anything less than 7M sign him up!!!!!!!

To be honest, but for the lack of a decent full-back, I think TP is right. Given our run-in and home form, and if we find a bit of the luck that's evaded us thus far, I think they are just about good enough to avoid the drop.

I'm getting worried that we don't seem to be linked with ANBODY at the moment. Just hope something is really getting sorted out behind closed doors. We don't have a lot of time now. It seems every time I put the tele on, the teams around us are looking to sign somebody. If we don't bring more players in, I doubt we'll manage to stay up. We desperately need a player with pace, because at the moment, we rarely look a threat, and Beattie is being wasted. Someone nippy on the other wing from Ethers would give us options, as it seems LL is not getting a game.

I wouldn't worry about the lack of activity. No doubt if TP form is anything to go by, he'll sign up two more run of the mill bench warmers just before the deadline to give us that bit of depth.

The Sentinel are today reporting the Riggott link, and Gary O'Neil is added to the wish list. I wouldn't worry about the lack of transfers, because Pulis always keeps his cards close to his chest. As for the comment about the squad being good enough, don't read so much into everything he says! He's not going to say the squad isn't good enough to stay up and we're doomed. That's the job of half the posters on here!
