He shouldn't be sacked, not now. End of the season maybe? Not so much on an relegated/staying up criteria, but more the manner in which we are relegated (if it happens, i still fancy our chances of escape). If we go down fighting, playing our best side, but we're just not quite good enough, then fair enough TP should stay on (the side we have now would piss the champ next season), but if we're down more due to TP's mistakes rather than lack of quality, the I think TP should go. Unfortunately, it seems the latter scenario is becoming more and more likely.

We're a fickle lot. Victory against Citeh on Saturday and we'll all be hailing him as the messiah ;D

I wouldnt want him to get sacked.
I've always been behind Tone, I'll admit I'm powerless to defend his judgement and tactics of late, regardless he's the man to guide us though this. Getting rid could only lead us on MORE of a downward spiral.
I just hope he can prove alot of you wrong come the end of the season.

Ultimately, when I saw the fixture list starting with the game on Boxing Day, I've got to admit - I thought it was possible that we could (and probably would) lose all 6 games.
That tough run ends on Saturday.
Following that, we've already shown that we're able to compete with the top sides and by hopefully adding some new blood in the next couple of days and getting stuck in - away as well as at home - I'm confident that we can pick up the required points in the remaining 14 matches (following citeh).
Camon Stoke!

I just dont understand where the team mentality goes when we play "smaller" teams than when we're up against the big boys.
Ive said it before but we need to play every game now like its the last game of the season and its the decider whether we're staying or going. The battle really is now.

Did you mean 2 SEASONS, mikester.
I reckon it would be Christmas next year at the earliest, and only if we were to be doing badly in the Champ after relegation.
Rightly so, too, IMHO

If Coates decides to keep faith with Pulis even if we go down, because he could get us back up again, wont that mean Pulis will be in charge of another season in the Prem, where he was unable to cut it the first time around?

Defeats against City and Sunderland should result in one thing. I don't have an axe to grind with Tony but defeats in the next two games make it near mission impossible. The only hope then would be to get some impetous from a new manager. Tony appears to be burying his head somewhat and lacking in inspiration. He has done a cracking job but he is not a God and pretty soon that is what we may well need. Come on Tony do what you are paid to do get them lads fired up and go for the jugular from the off. Would you sack all the managers of the other Prem teams who are on a bad run or just a couple of points away from us?

This thread is total bollocks. We are very much in contention and a couple of wins will put us mid table.
Thought that supporters were supposed to support, let's face it you wouldn't consider changing your surgeon half way through open heart surgery would you ???
Keep the faith.
