1605: Dave Jones has revealed that Cardiff turned down an approach from Wigan for Joe Ledley.
Sorry for bringing up Ledley again. This is from Sportinglife.com a subsidary of SSN. Interesting? does that mean Ledley is not going to be sold after all or is there an agreement elsewhere? or perhaps their offer is way short of Ridsdales valuation. Thoughts?

It was suggested 3 million plus Koumas, but who really knows?
Unless the player is kicking up a fuss to leave then Cardiff don't need to sell him

Can he do better than Wigan or not? Has Gary Glitter passed comment?

Really not bothered about him anymore.... let him wait for his 'big' move

At £5-6 million I reckon it's best we do miss out on him, I just don't see what justifies such a big price tag for someone who's achieved nothing and hasn't even been pulling up trees in the championship, even Cardiff fans are pretty mixed on him aren't they ? if I were Coates, after Puiis' summer buys, I'd be very reluctant to give him that sort of wonga for a championship player.... that said, he seems pretty highly rated in football circles, plenty of clubs have been linked with him and lots of managers talk highly of him, perhaps he's one of those players that quietly does a good job for the team ? .

So reading that, if we buy Koumas, they then can buy Ledley with the extra money they have ? Job done !

We need someone proven at this level who can have an impact on us at this present time, not a lad however talented who would need time to adapt to the higher standard

Risdale was interviewed on the radio before the arsenal game and was asked about the possibility of Ledley leaving and he said he was going nowhere they weren't under financial pressure to sell, had a new ground to move into next season and were trying to get into the premiership so can't see him going anywhere unless one of the big 4 came in for him which is pretty unlikely.

I don't think we need to bother about Ledley really. Even if we did buy him, at best he would only make the bench until his fitness and strength were improved so he could run around all match, chasing lost causes and shadows! He would then come in for one game and unless he played like Pele, he would make way for Cressy again.
