On Radio Stoke last night to Nigels question about the transfer window closing soon, 'any transfers likely Tony?' He inferred that his targets are all with clubs like us involved in the potential relegation struggle, so are reluctant to sell to a club competing to stay up! Well then, that's any decent players we want not likely to come! Who the heck is he after? I know Riggot has been mentioned but this business with ledley must definitely be a dead end then. I suppose the only thing to realise about his comments is that virtually every other team in the prem apart from the top 5 are in the same boat!

I've stated elsewhere i would be surprised if there was any further transfer activity. Even Coates must now be considering and further funding he makes available to a man who seems to buy players, then doesn't play them.
Ask yourself this: Given his transfer record this season, would you give him any more money if it was £6,000,000 of your own cash? I know what my answer would be.

I was not very impressed or even convinced that we are going to bring anyone in after the interview. Quite worrying now, after last nighst non show. We badly need a right sided constructive midfielder,(Even a half fit Lawrence would fill the bill) and a defensive midfielder, two full backs, and we HAVE to start with Fuller. Whelan isn't good enough. Faye is inconsistant, Diao isn't fit. This crap about an impact player suggests that if we can defend, defend, defend, we MIGHT bring Fuller on to see if we can sneak it. For God's sake, Tony, start with Fuller or even Kitson. Cresswell just is not good enough. WE are chsing the game with our current tactices. Let's FFS attack teams now, because we can only lose, but we might just get something. WE are allowing every team we play now, to dictate the game, and try to counter with the slowest players in the divison.
