???Among the disbelief of about Pullis's team selection and tactics may I ask why we have not seen any results from the the international scouting team which was set up. We were informed they were people with a a proven track record. It is obvious we need a couple more skill players who don't hold the ball like a hot e.g.Etherington (to use O'Connor's reference) and I don't understand why we have not been able to attract foreign players. I believe the allure of the Premier League is massive and despite our status as promoted team and league position now we should have been able to attract players. Is Pullis just too stubborn or is our marketing too provincial? He seems to be able to tell a a decent story to UK or UK-based lads e.g Etherington and Beattie which look like great signings.Maybe it's too risky now with 15 games to go but I still hope he proves me wrong. On another note what impact does the message board feel Gerry Francis has had on the club. He was a top player but we do not seem too see real improvements in our style or alternative tactics. I feel Stoke did brilliantly up to this decent drought but I still think our learning curve has been too long for our status a a Premiere League club. ???

I think Pulis found out that some of the people playing abroad were..er...(whisper it) foreign and had no experience of..er... English football, ;D
Shocked and disappointed, he abandoned the 'overseas' division of his scouting operation, and retreated to the safety of Portsmouth reserves.
