Long balls were twatted up top but nobody was there to win them, had mama been playing it would have been a different story
Get well soon Mama, we need you

True but shouldn't the question be why twat long balls like that when we know Mama is not up there?

disagree. distribution was awful, even Mama wouldn't have got near that stuff.
what we needed tonight was 2 full backs - to be fair to griff he did a job 2nd half. old pro and all that.

We can still play the long ball with Beattie up top. They just need to be more precise. With Mama up there You can boot with 20 metres of him and he'll win the header. With Beattie/Fuller/Kitson it needs to be played to feet or on to their chests with precision. They may win the odd aimless hoof but when they win 1 in 10 Mama will win 9 in 10 of them.

there were alot of times tho we twatted balls up top and they just came back where if Mama had been there it would have been different

I think Beattie did a good job tonight, Mama would've done a little better though, but then again he wouldn't have finished that goal

Bollocks! why would you want you want to twat the ball long to Mama when spurs strengths are Dawson and Woodgate in the air? Perhaps the best way to get three points would be to get at Spurs where they are weak, ie down the flanks and the full backs?

Like he did Hangeland before he did his knee in. Like he did Terry and all comers that try to beat him in the air.

I knew as soon as mama got injured against fulham that we would struggle, if he isnt fit soon then we will be relegated

True but shouldn't the question be why twat long balls like that when we know Mama is not up there? They had a week in Dubai to work out a plan for what would happen to twatted balls with no Mama on the end of them. Seems like more of the chairman's money wasted then.

We haven't won since his injury. Far too simplistic to put the poor run of results solely on the absence of Mama of course, but its a fact nevertheless.

its pretty simple really, we miss mama in every game when we continue to play as if he is still on the pitch.

But how can a premiership team put all their chances of staying up on just one man - we cant just depend on Mama - yes we havent won since he's been gone but dont build him up to something hes not - talk about pressure on a guy just returning from injury! If you are all saying that Mama is the key to survival then perhaps we really aren't good enough for the prem.
I dont suppose it could really be anything to do with not adapting our tactics to the fact that mama isnt their and no-one else in the squad can do his job?????? Managers are paid to manage these situations, therefore I assume you are really saying that you are not impressed with how Pulis has managed the squad - i think this is much more the problem rather than the fitness or otherwise of one player - whoever he is and however good he is!!!!

I wonder if TP hasn't noticed that Mama isn't playing...Its the only explanation I can find to explain why he continues to play exactly the same gameplan even though Mama is sitting in the stands. Its baffling and becoming a touch disturbing that we dont have the players to fill the Mama role yet it doesn't seem to matter to TP. Yes we had time to sort something out in DUbai...but TP has had since the Fulham game time to work out that his PLan A only works with Mama.Seems everyone can see this why not TP?
