We WILL get relegated if Tony Pulis does not wake up from whatever drug-induced, Narnia winterland he's been wandering about in since he somehow got us to the Premier League.
What I'm about to say might anger some, but trust me - they are in the minority. No matter how loud they shout.
We are atrocious. Full stop. Three points away from home so far this season - with the tactics we employ i'm surprised we got three. One of those we didn't even deserve (against liverpool).
Wilkinson is the worst right back in the premiership AND the championship. Amdy faye is ridiculously bad. Glen Whelan is permanenly on holiday. He might as well go back to Dubai. Cresswell is..... well - he's cresswell. He shouldn't even be in our reserves. Delap has served his time - seven assists is admirable, but he has been anything but admirable in every game I have seen him play.
That's five of our starting line-up tonight at Tottenham. Sorry folks, but if that's all we've got we are well and truly shagged.
TP needs to get his head straight. Fuller should have started instead of cresswell. Lawrence should have ben on the right. The last two weeks should have been used to buy two PROPER centre midfielders and it's about time we had PROPER full-backs at our club. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?????
Sory guys and TP. That's just the way I see it. To go to tottenham and put out that team is shameful.
AND... to top it off... At half time at 3-0 down to put two defenders on is indefensible.
I watched the game on live TV. If there was something wrong with ab faye please tell me. The music was loud and I had no commentary. But we were ATROCIOUS in the first half. We made tottenham look like world beaters even though they HAD the same points tally as us.
TP: this is for you. If you want to stay in this league your players need to learn how to pass to EACH OTHER.
Etherington and Beattie were solid. Those two made our goal and I realise they are two players TP signed, which gives me hope that he has some kind of vision for our club. But not much.
I realise this is an open invitation to attack so pick me off at will. But I'll say it as I see it and I won't apologise. I love TP for getting us promoted, but if we go down this way I will hold it against him...
Fire away guys... x

HAHAHAHA!!!! Ahh, shitbin. Tom, perhaps you might enlighten us on how Stoke City are going to stay up and the tactics required. I'm not sure that 'it will be alright on the night' cuts it in the Premiership.

Wilkinson not even Championship standard? Deep breaths mate. OK... I take that back. He was superb against chelsea and Man U until he got a red. But he is prone to mistakes and he left Lennon WIDE open for their first tonight. Watch the goal... he drifted into the middle where we already had three defenders and left a gaping hole on our right flank. Sorry... But that's not premiership standard. Maybe it would cut it in the championship...

I thought Wilko was poor tonight but he's a good player don't let disappointment cloud the facts!
We are a minnow by Prem standards BUT we can and we will survive if the players and fans remain as one and we rekindle the spirit we've shown on several occasions.
Tottenham have had 15 years of prem money and 15 years to attract top notch palyers we've had a few months. We can stay up and we will it will be against tyhe odds but we can do it! But throwing the baby out with the bath water after after a bad defeat won't help.

can't really disagree with most of what you say
Personally i have lost what faith i had in this manager, he is totally out of his depth in this league i'm afraid.

Stupid post. Moan, moan, moan Did you watch our performance? I saw every kick of the ball... and we looked poor. We were slow and had no imagination. But i can live with that - just show me some passion, belief and fight. There was none of that - especially in the first half. That's what makes me angry and that is why i posted. I'm not a moaner by profession and I hope it doesn't become a hobby...

It was a shit first half, i agree. But IF that Shawcross header went in and IF Beattie connected wih the Whelan free kick we could have been 2-0 up. You wouldnt be questioning the effort then would you?
We backed off too much and they punished us, but you cant say there was a lack of effort. Good players scored.

Agree with the thread starter the lineup was at best a joke. Wingers as central mids Strikers as wingers quality players as spectators total piss take if you ask me and yes i am angry but dont for one minute think my judgement is clouded because you all know Pulis fucked tonight up no-one else!!!!!

We didnt take our chanced but they did. Tactics, training, strips, superstitions are all irrelevent.
Spurs were just better on the nite.

So what explains our failure to win in the other away games? I have a feeling something may be wrong with the tactics! We sat deep, allowed Modric to play and from there we were screwed-the tactics were shite.

As it stands we are joint 17th, so far a man that ' somehow got us in the prem ' and a man that spends his days ' wondering in narnia ' at past the half way stage he is still in reasonable shape to keep us up, least thats how i see it. Lets be realistic here, wilko is a championship right back, and has showed signs he COULD step up to being a prem right back, granted he has his faults, distribution being a notable one, but he isn't the lost cause you make him sound like. Amdy Faye isn't ' ridiculously ' bad, again ide be lieing if i said he has been every bit as good as id've hoped thus far, but the few games prior too tonight he's been better, so credit where it's due.

Yeah... I would have taken 17th if we were a few points clear of relegation. But we are not. We are second from bottom. I love wilko for the simple fact he is a stokie and he was sterling against chelsea... but he ain't making the step up with any other premiership team any time soon... only stoke. Amdy faye had to be substituted against chelsea before he got sent off... yet he couldn't tackle any tottenham players tonight... I would say we should be above west brazil... but having seen our performances so far this season we are where we deserve to be. Are you telling me we should be above tottenham, blackburn, west ham, sunderland and newcastle? have you seen us away from home? we are dire.... We need to start winning again at home soon...

After 23 mins and 3-0 i switched off and went to bed at 03.23 absolutely pissed off and was thinking 6-0 at half time.they murdered us for pace, application and skill, the same most teams have away from home.TACTICS,TACTICS,TACTICS,all wrong yet again. this was a team with the same points as us that have scored 8 goals at home.Too choked for blaming tp,but do we blame the team for dropping to far back,or the skills of spurs or what.TP always says after an away defeat,we dropped too far bakc,so its got to be the players doing it,but why cant he tell thewm to push up,think its a load of ball mesen.Soory guys and gals even with 2 forwards the midfield is not clever enough to creat for them.

We ARE minnows, we haven't been in the Prem BUT that should not stop us from a. trying to play football and pass the ball, b. selecting the correct players i.e. not Cresswell and c. having a manager who can change his tactics accordingly.
