Sorry guys. Wilko was at fault for the second goal at Bolton, the winning goal at Boro. His sending off cost us against ManU. He lost his man at Chelsea. He was all over the place tonight. He is as much out of his depth as Cresswell. Just because he is committed doesn't mean he is good enough. Don't you remember closing your eyes everytime he had the ball last season, wondering where the next misplaced pass was going. He is not a legend. He is a decent lad, doing his best, but not good enough unfortunately, in this division. well said

Im a bit drunk and kankered but just got in..
Wilko as had 2 blinders the past 2 away games... West Ham and Chelsea, and liverpool think he played well too...did he play cant remember.
He had an off day today. But we do need a better RB

Wilko can only improve, IMO he is a decent player and some here would like to use him as the scapegoat. He made one mistake for the goal, but up to yet he's been pretty solid (bar Bolton where he did look out of his depth and was outshone by Dicko, saying that though, in that game why was Wilko LB and Griff RB? More baffling selection).
Two players were played out of position tonight, and Creswell cant cut it as unfortunate as it is. Tone selects the team, he is to blame.
BTW why do we always go on about how good teams benches are as a way of looking at the squad? Tonight our bench was arguably better than many of the players who started. IT happened at Castle and it happened again tonight, and unfortunatley against relegation rivals it is totally stupid.

It's not the first time March has had a pop at Wilko, and to be fair the first goal was Wilko's fault last night, but we conceded three goals and the other two were down to central defensive mistakes. Saying that, if we had set our stall out to attack from the beginning, instead of going for the draw which is certainly what Pulis was going there for, I think we might have faired better. The myth that we would have been caught on the counter attack is complete arse. You keep possession, you don't get caught, simple, and unfortunately Dicky Cresswell can't keep possession because he isn't fucking good enough!

Yet amazingly, our manager continues to select him. If only he'd been able to spend £1M on a player for that position last summer.

Wilko was at fault for the first, but I guess he was only following instructions. It is very noticebale how the fullbacks set up to defend vey narrow.
It has cost us plenty this season and it its a very bizzare way of defending by tucking the fullbacks in to play so narrow and give time and space to wide men

THe lad is whole hearted but totally out of his depth against the better players in this division, his defending of their first goal last night was awful , he did absolutely nothing to stop lennon, what annoys me is we are supposed to have paid £1.5 million for a right back from southampton with premiership experience who cant gaet a game, so have we just pissed the money away with Davies? No doubt he is on a good wage too

Is that why he had Ronaldo in his back pocket for 70 odd minutes until his sending off then?
The fact of the matter is TP sets his fullbacks up to play very deep in the width away from home begging attacking players like Lennon to attack. That's why we do so well at home because the width of the pitch helps. TP's players, TP's tactics, TP's responsibilty.

It was nothing to do with setting up narrow. Wilko and the entire back 4 moved like table footballers across the pitch towards Defoe leaving a huge gap on the left where Lennon was standing. Defoe looks up makes a pass to feet (yes a pass that went to the player it was intended to go to). Wilk realising the danger doesnt get even close - backs off - and Abd nearly makes it across to cut out the shot which then goes through Soros legs. It was v poor positional awareness for U12 football let alone Premier League. It does not take 4 players to mark one !

At the moment Griff shouldn't even be in the squad, never mind the team.

Ronaldo played on the other side of the pitch until about 15 minutes before the sending off H

Wilko has been out of his depth every game this season, much as I like his commitment to the cause. Cant agree with that sweeping statement - he has had some good games and made some howlers - but thats what you have to expect of a youngster learning the trade at the top level - i dont think you can just right him off - i think he does have real potential but it'll take time for him to mature. Like Bale at Tottenham - has the potential but doesnt half makesome gaffs. I hope this doent turn into a witch hunt of one of our young potentially very good players (Pulis said he got a knock very early in the game so i think the real question is Should he have been on the pitch carrying an injury? And why did Pulis let him play on when Griff was on the bench?)

He drifted across countless times and Wilko sorted him.
Wilko wasn't the reason we lost last night, TP was and the sooner he and other people realise this then we can move onwards and upwards. I don't think Wilko is the answer by the way, but he's better than Griffin.

Wilkinson has progressed from being a bench player (at most) in a Championship side, to a member of the starting XI in the Premier League
That makes no sense i'm afraid, an if he's the number one or two choice of Right Back at this Football club, then yes it is a major problem we need to sort out

My honest opinion is Wilko really is out of his depth, Griff has had quite a good season but we need a better right back I would try Sonko( when we bought him they said he could play there). Cresswell will never ever score a goal in the premirship why kitson or fuller did not start is beyond me I know Cresswell tries but that will not keep us up. Amdy Faye is also shite. I know when Diou is fit he will replace him but still.

I actually think TP needs to sort the full backs out on these bigger pitches. Because they do play narrow which is fine on our postage stamp but on a big pitch it just gives a winger room. Look at Lennon and Bentley tonight. Both had acres of space on either flank. Why? Because the full backs were narrow. spot on bayern!
