just watched the game on the stream & a few thoughts:
Shawcross superb (good fucking job!)
Sorenson looked slow for the 1st goal but Wilko miles away in speed of thought from Lennon
lots of posts re the selection especially upfront well sorry but almost irrelevant:
Fuller struggled when he came on but understandably so & Cresswell should have scored that header
however number 1 point is this: Zokoro won so many tackles its untrue & Modric wa simply sublime - Hudson-esque folks.
we're all Stoke fans first of course but as a football fan you cant knock that pair tonight.
Our two of Faye/Whelan & then Delap/Whelan honest as they are didnt stand a chance.
game was won & lost there.
no idea if Ledley or M'Bami are the answers (or if either are signing) but until we can get better quality there its bits & pieces for us.
you can perm any XI from our players & decry the tactics all you want but there is no substitute for quality

Agree with some comments there - I see Koumas as a player we need - but are he and Whelan too alike?! Our passing was really poor tonight - even Higgy panicking on the ball and unable to hoof it forward (which he frustratingly does every game). It was embarrassing at times that the passing resorted to being eventually passed back to Soro - hoofe forwar and then straight back at us again... Let's hope City are all falling out still and Dunne is as crap as hehas been for JB or Fuller to run around!

agreed, Amdy Faye can go to Portsmouth imo. as someone demanding to have Whelan play earlier in the season i was, i really dont think he has shown anything, especially in the last 3-4

Glad some of you are seeing Whelan is no answer in this League. Unfortunately, he is the best of what we have got and what we have got is not good enough.
Less than a week of the transfer window to go. Less than a week to save our hard earned Premiership status.
