As it is FA Cup 4th round this Saturday - which over the years has become known as Stoke havent got a game weekend some may be interested in popping along to Rease Heath where our u18s and 16s wil be taking on their Crwho counterparts.
I imagine the 18s will ine up similar to the reserve side from the other night. They are usually quite fiesty affairs and if our boys are winning then there is the added attraction of watching Dario loosing it. Mind you I imagine he will have the 12 year old refs they use up there properly briefed for the occasion.

This definitely is going to be an interesting game for many reasons including the great DG keeping his temper boxed up!
Is there a pitch inspection this morning does anyone know?
Also anyone who can't get to Reaseheath and wants to watch a game today, Vale youth are playing Bury at Vale Training ground next to Vale Park kick off 11am. Vale are currently 5th in their league.

U-16's weren't in the game playing in a 4-5-1 formation in the first half, 2-0 down early on.
Switched to 4-4-2 in the second half and completely ran the show.
Really was a tale of two halves formations!

Dario was conspicuous by his absence today. Probably the only time we have been to Rease Heath and he has been missing. I suspect it might have something to do with his antics at the Michelin earlier in the season when once again our sides stuck the double up him. On that occasion he resorted to running onto the pitch to call our u16s c***ts and Dean Gore had to be dragged off him.
Dario has always done everything necessary to ensure Crewe victories in these fixtures including moving players back down age groups. It has been his way of trying to confirm the Crewe Academy was the superior set up in the area. Those days are now over and I suspect he found it a difficult situation to deal with today and avoided it. He probably cleared off to help Gudjon mastermind a 5 goal thumping defeat.
Whilst we will be pumping Premier League resources into our training centre, Dario can be left to wonder how he sells his League Division Toilet set up to would be players. Two double victories confirms we have caught up and sailed by in the Youth Development stakes.

Bloody hell. What a nob. Was he reported to the FA or anything? That must break plenty of rules surely?

Mark-did any of the parents twat him? I'd have been tempted if he had called any future son of mine a cunt! www.premierleague.com/page/YouthCTableWe are behind Crewe but beating them twice is still pleasing!

No. The parents were busily engaged with a tiny minority of the Crewe parents who took it upon themselves to stand on the touchline and make wanker gestures at the 15 year old Stoke players! I stress it was a tiny minority and also empasise that this sort of issue is unique. I have spent the last seven seasons travelling to clubs up and down the country where the absolute norm is friendly and civil behaviour from the host club and the parents. As far as the league is concerned the gap is minimal and closing fast as our mainly first year players find their feet.

Good to see the academy thriving after all of the recent scaremongering.

Good to see the academy thriving after all of the recent scaremongering. You are going to have to expand on that one Merk as it has gone straight over my head. There just has to be something barbed behind the comment.
