great vid, that guy was a joy to watch
lol he totally drew that penno, musselwhite went apeshit! remember that game well, in the boothen with dad (Stoke) and Grandad (Vale). Van der Laan scored after 67mins and there was one guy going ballistic in the Boothen - lol my Dad was trying to hold about 6 people off my Grandad. we scored about 2 mins later and that pen was in about the 85th minute?

Great stuff! Takes me back. Steino always seemed to score at the opposite end to where I was standing and half the time you wondered how the hell he'd scored from such acute angles. After a while, I think we all expected the net to be bulging in confirmation of another great strike from 'The Golden One'.

Amazing finisher just a shame we never got to see him do it in the top league with us instead of him doing it at chelsea, also makes you realise what an important player kevin "rooster" russell was he must have been involved in every steino goal in that video.

The amazing thing about Steino was that he would waste a few easy chances and then pop up with a goal from the unlikeliest angle. If ever there was a man who could make a goal from nothing on his own it was him. He was the most exciting player I've ever watched to this day.

Reminded me what a good finisher he was, notice how quite a few of those goals were with his left foot.Definitely worthy of legend status.

Steino - probably my first Stoke hero. Absolutley idolised that bloke, and remember being gutted when he left.
I'll never forget him smashing that first goal past Schmeichel, I was 11 at the time, and remember the Boothen going absolutley f*cking mental. That will stay with me forever.

;D Had a huge grin on my face all the way through this, I loved this time for Stoke, and the fact that when you saw him running on goal, you knew it was gonna happen!

The last goal v Blackpool away ................................... did it rain that day ? what a day. the day we first went top that season? never stopped raining the whole weekend. but what a weekend it was... until the coppers shut down the karoake bar (gaieties?) on the seafront and the place got smashed to pieces. every time a song stopped it was "we are top of the league... said we are top of the league" superb vid. requests for part 2 - vale away (first goal in 2 goal win - favourite mental ever) rotherham away 2 v manure

What about the Darlington home where he broke away, got to the area and though cant be arsed to go round the keeper so he just smashed it in the top corner at the Boothen.
True legend

Seeing the Golden One brings a tear to the eye and does make you realise just how soulless the game is today. It's the first time i've ever seen that goal that he scored from near the corner flag over the keepers head Who was that against?
