new signings before the window closes according to Radio Stoke headlines at 1. That's from PC himself. About what I expected to be fair - not sure what positions he's going to strengthen though.

i dont think we need more key palyers now we need back up as weve sein the 1st team is strong but the bench imo is still a little weak. We need some stand in players and who are prepard for a bit of bench warming.

2 more centre halves?
It's all about the squad in this league, we need 10 centre halves.

Hmm no more centre halves. If we do have to then 1 at a push would be nice. Would love to see a creative midfielder coming in (Ledley or Bullard) that would just finish the midfield.
Lawrence Diao Ledley/Bullard Etherington....
Fucking mouth watering, especially if you add our forwards to that.

That way you'll have a stronger first team and a stronger bench.

Ledley & Finnan would be my guesses, the latter on loan.
I've been wrong before though.

Finnan wouldn't be too bad, isn't he injured at the moment though? hence the Hull deal collapsing? or did he just realise how much of a numpty his potential boss was (as in Tango Man).
I'd love Ledley to come in. Failing him Bullard would be nice!

"new signings before the window closes according to Radio Stoke headlines at 1. That's from PC himself." Hmm, i wonder if PC will mentioning how many will be going out? See, i can't help myself. All the money Peter has spent and i still don't trust him. I'm a bad, bad person ;D

The chairman did make reference to there would be too many players - 'something that would sort itself out' he said.
He went on to say that staying in the Premiership was the sole intention and if that was achieved, the 'new squad' would leave us in better shape for next season. (or words to that effect!)

If I had to choose which positions to fill, it would be LB and RB. Wilko, Higgy, and Griff, along with our unfit Davies don't fill the bill. They are all adequate, but we need more than adequate. Don't as me to name any particular players as better than our own lads, as I am not that well read up on the opposition, although Riggot does spring to mind at RB.

Creative central midfield and an attacking fullback I would hope.

Yep I am with creative midfielder who can pick a decent pass..Whelan isnt the answer.. and some pace at fullback prob right back as we have no pace down that flank...two areas that would significantly improve the team and make no mistake we still need better players.
