Fair play to him. Finally someone who isnt straight to bemoan our style of play. A TRUE football fan, well done Neil Raines and I too now like Aston Villa a lot more.

A great, refreshing read! I'd love it if they pipped Arsenal to 4th as well, Villa are a club doing it the right way (except against Stoke of course )

O'Neil's Leicester sides whilst more attacking (@ least away from home) than the current Stoke side weren't that different in style & attitude.
He has better players now at Villa but you can still see some of the old traits there. good luck to them.

I've always liked O'Neil, he has a great attitude towards the media and opposing managers. He always speaks his mind and never glosses over the issues like the Wengers of this world, the man never fails to dissappoint when he is discussing big issues with journos and he generally always comes out on top when they are trying to have a dig at him or make him look like a mug.
Next Man Ure manager??

Never minded Villa & since O'neil went there he has put them firmly on the up. I would love to see them grab a CL spot at the expense of Arsenal. ;D

I have a bit of a soft spot for Villa as my son-in-law is a Villa fan and also I have a lot of time for Martin O'neil, this letter has made that spot a little bit softer . When I first started looking at the letters on that thread I thought the first one was from Dion Dublin, I really must wear my glasses when looking at the computer screen ;D

It's a big taboo no-no apparantly at most boards its acceptable to c&p part of the post and then link to the remainder like so: That way you credit the source and also add to their SEO which they won't mind.

HAHA What a complete moron. We're on exactly the same points and had we scored 1 more goal on Saturday would actually be above you in the table.
Not entirely sure how that mean's your making a good go of it, and we're apparently not. Is there some sort of invisible barrier between our oal differecnce being -1 to you that make's all the difference.
If you're going to go on a rant on two clubs approaches at least look at the league table...

Always liked Villa. Remember when we loaned Hendrie off them and the week after me and a mate went away to Turkey and met a villa fan in a bar resteraunt watching the Villa vs Fulham match. We had a good long, long, long, long chat about football and invited him to dine with us. About an hour after the match, he said "Shit! I've let the wife with the little 'un, promised i'd be back to go for dinner after the game! Well there's no point going back now! Next bar?" haha, legend!!!
