www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1805_4827354,00.html Lyon's Fred close to Brazil returnWantaway Lyon striker Fred has revealed he has opened talks with Palmeiras and Fluminense as he moves closer to a departure from France. The 25-year-old has outlined his determination to quit Les Gones after losing his regular place in the first team, and has been linked with a host of sides in the January transfer window. Although he would prefer to stay in Europe, he admits he would not object to a return to his native Brazil. "I am thinking of a change of air, of discovering something else," he said. "There are players who could stay here eight or 10 years. Me, I think that four is enough. "I think that it will be easier to find a club in Brazil. It would be easier to get back in the national team here. "Discussions have already started with Palmeiras and Fluminense but without going further than that at the moment. "Lyon and myself want to sort this situation out as soon as possible. We have come to an agreement that I can leave; now I am waiting for negotiations with another club so it can happen. "The club are letting me leave for free to Brazil. I could sign a contract today, tomorrow, or I can even stay here. But I am closer to the exit door." Fred, whose contract is up at the end of the season, has also been linked with English club Stoke.
