Does anyone know when it will be finished and put on show,it seems to be taking a long time.Although if its of the same quality as sir stans im sure it will be worth the wait and something we can all be proud of.

hey up guys, i'm a relative of Banksy's the first part of the statue is indeed finished and currently sits very proudly in the reception at the brit. As far as i was aware, the rest of the statue will be finished later this year, and when that happens, the two stages will be combined and placed at the entrance to the ground (towards the audi garage) along with Sir Stan's which will be moved alongside it. Thats what i am aware of, so please don't take that as gospel

I would love the club to be proactive in the beautification of the space around the ground. It isn't just the site of the stadium it is also its situation.
Having statues (and other forms of art relating to football)around the stadium is one way.
I should like to see the access/parking to the ground improved for fans.
But how about trying to soften the visage of the stadium by tree planting around the Brit and along the Trent valley. It would be so nice to create 'Parkland' around the Brit (to negate its carbon footprint....it could be tax deductible) and provide ponds and picnic benches by the river for fans to sit with their mates/family.
How about pre match barbeque's organized in the summer?
I don't know who owns the various parcels of land, but the club could further integrate itself within the physical environment of Stoke.
At the moment the space around the stadium is just that.Work with the planning department and create a space that is a habitat for supporters as people, not just business.

Had a good look at the statue a few weeks ago. I know the great man was no oil painting, but I thought it wasn't very flattering and they had made him look more like Sloth from the Goonies than our Gordon!!!
Hey You Guys.

Gordon stands in the main entrance, with his back to the wall. Meanwhile the addition is being sculpted, which is the one of Banksie making the fantastic save from Pele. Should look great.
It is intended to place him near the Audi garage but, although it is to be decided, the removal of Sir Stan would be a very expensive job.
