As ive stated on other threads, i would like to see Lawrence play in the middle and one more winger drafted in, preferably one with pace and flair, similar to Etherington.
I hope we can attract a proven premiership winger, again as ive said on previous threads possibly Henri Camara, but i was thinking before of ones i would possibly take gamble on from the Championship.
Jamal Campbell-Ryce of Barnsley was a player that i thought of, been linked with us before, good winger with decent pace, decent shot on him, and has played alongside Fuller and Demar Phillips for the Jamaican national team.
I think an offer of £1 Million ( maybe slightly less if possible ) could be worth a shout, only 25 so plenty of seasons ahead of him aswell.
And the other one i thought of was Danny Haynes of Ipswich, another winger with decent pace and distribution, who could be worth a gamble, only 21 so a great prospect, who will only improve.
Remember watching him at the brit last season for Ipswich, i thought he was the best player on the field, and whilst he can do a job on the wing, he can also provide cover up-front.
Thoughts?

Campbell-Ryce is too lightweight and Camara is a striker. As for Haynes, he is highly rated and did pretty well against us last season. He possesses a fair amount of pace and a decent end product so he would be the best bet out of the trio.
Weren't we tentatively linked with Andy van der Meyde last summer? He's been a flop at Everton but perhaps a few months under Pulis would see him return to form?
I don't see the problem with Liam though to be honest.

Last time I looked Camara was a semi-proven striker, not a winger??
Wouldn't touch Campbell-Ryce with Abdulaye Faye's barge pole, all he does is run around like a wind-up toy until he loses the ball, championship is the best he will be in my opinion.
I'd keep Liam on the right of midfield, although I'd like to see TP find another winger in the Etherington mould (but for the right wing) as I think Liam lacks a bit of pace, maybe someone like John Utaka at pompey. I think we need an attacking midfielder, that is the currently the biggest hole in our squad at the moment. We should be after a player with similar abilities to the likes of Bullard, Ledley or Stead Malbranque (although he often plays on the left for the mackems).

Camara can, and generally does play up-front yes, but he can and has also done a job on the wing for wigan and other clubs in the past on occasions, and with his pace, he could offer something perhaps......

Yeah I see your point, but why not just go for an out & out winger? Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see Camara at stoke, but I just don't think he'd put in a good enough shift on the right side of midfield. Whoever plays right wing for stoke has to be prepared to track back and get stuck in as well as add a pacey attacking option to compliment the width we get through Ethers.

Get De Jong or Lindgren from Ajax, or Pirlo from AC Milan. Or preferable all of them.

Pirlo? Are you having a giraffe? I'll have a pint of what you are on!
We do need someone a little bit different for our midfield. The problem we have is that TP plays with two holding midifielders, so an attacking central midfielder is a non-starter. We need at least one other pacey option out wide.
I'd love us to get Kightly, but it looks like the Yam Yams will hold on to him and go up.
Obviously Tone was trying to address this issue with Pennant before he revealed himself to be the total wanker that he undoubtedly is.
Haynes is not a bad shout, but he seems a bit hit and miss and may struggle in the short-term with the move up a league.
It is hard to think of many others to be honest, certainly not in the English game at present who we can afford and who would come to us.
