Having just watched this for the first time, it makes me think there's probably no foundation to the reports of Liam's imminent departure.
Why would the Stoke City press office arrange for an in depth interview of this nature with a prestigious tv show look like Football Focus if he was on his way out of the door?
It wouldn't make any sense at all.
Good interview by the way.

Actually it would make absolute sense. if they turned down the request for the interview, it would give off the wrong message Give off the wrong message to who Dave? If he hadn't done the interview nobody bar a couple of people at the Beeb would have been any the wiser. Furthermore there is no evidence that the the interview was requested by the BBC, is just as likely that the media department at SCFC offered them the interview. If the BBC had have specifically asked to do an interview with Lenny, and Stoke were apprehensive about him doing it, they could have made up any excuse, and offered them Beattie instead, who is far more newsworthy at the mo.
