I do not believe five wins will be enough to tell the truth. The division is incredibly tight and I strongly suspect that we shall need at six victories and two/three/four draws to stay up.

I do not believe five wins will be enough to tell the truth. The division is incredibly tight and I strongly suspect that we shall need at six victories and two/three/four draws to stay up. If you consider that our rivals have to play the top 5 teams on average 4 times, and everyone still has to play each other, not all teams are going to keep picking up points. Come March, and you get into a bad run, teams will fall away, I think around 38 points will be enough. Having said that, with our run in, we only have ourselves to blame if we don't surpass that.

Well it goes without saying that I hope you're right but I would be rather amazed if 38 points was enough to avoid relegation.

For at least 4 teams to get 40+ points, the top 5 teams are going to have to lose a few games to the teams in the bottom half, and I don't see that happening in the business end of the season

WOW!!!
Essentially our entire survival depends on the one month between March 21 and April 18. Win these 4 (3 home and 1 away) and I am 100% sure we will be terrorising Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U/C next season again!
C'Mon Stoke............ Do It For Sir Stan!!
