-Weird ground really. My first ever visit yesterday. Built- in Hotels alongside the turnstyles. A touch too American for my liking. - Stereotypical Premiership Home Fans lacking passion, dressed in expensive overcoats and scarves around their necks. -Give me Stoke on Trent any day of the week.

Weird to see the whole of the middle tier on the far side empty at HT with all the wankers having hospitality.

worst place for fans ive been too....
overheard at Chelsea "we are ahead by 2 goals to zero my darling but it is a spiffing game and we have had a good jolly, tatty bye"
I couldnt hide my anger at these sort of people at football... just sat there in overcoats doing business deals on the phone...no singing and moaning about the Salmon and prawn baguettes!!
couldnt even get a bovril!!!

It's all subjective though boys. I had to sit in the home end with my mate who's a Chelski season ticket holder. It was the stand behind the goal opposite where the Stokies were and was full of your average supporters, no corporate bollocks and to be fair to them, they sang pretty much throughout the game.
The mental in the away end when we scored looked amazing!! Having to sit there for those last six minutes surrounded by Chelsea fans going mad was one of the worst feelings I've ever had at a game!

I also sat in with the home fans, lower tier of the West Stand, the one opposite where the players ran out. Decent fans around me even if they lacked real passion, never felt threatened even though my immediate neighbours knew I was a Stokie as my mate announced it! Nevertheless still decided to go to the bogs for a quick shout and punch the air when we scored. Some good points about the ground:- a) Close to the pitch b) Liked the tv screens high up playing the game for a quick glance when I couldn't see down the line etc c) Next to the tube, quick getaway d) Some decent boozers within 10 mins of the ground e) They had a mural along the wall outside the West Stand with pictures of all the players and a team shot. Hordes of kids (and adults) had their picture taken stood by their favourite player. Just thought it was a nice touch. f) They retained the old 'shed' terrace wall as a kind of memorial. Now that was a tough place back in the 70's. They also have issues with the smokers in the bogs at half time

A decent ground compared with the former one, yes, but I don't think I've seen a ground where you need to climb up stairs BEFORE entering! I walked all round it and they were like fire escapes. Also didn't like the way the stewards used loud hailers, at every HOME turnstile, to advise "supporters" where they were. It gave the game away. Interesting to see how they used their screen, to play the match live. Not that I used it. Also noted how more belt-tightening times had altered the contents of the club shop. Last time I was there, (for a meeting)they sold Chelsea motor bikes!! Above all, annoying to see how they utilised our end, for their own supporters, our having turned down 1,500 tickets. We don't do that, (hope we will, next season) and it is easy. Only four seats between us (I was in an end of row seat, nearest their "fans") unlike us, who waste fourteen seats on each row, as a no-go area! Downstairs, in that concourse (our probably excuse) they simply had concertina doors, which divided us. Had we taken all 3,000, presumably they would have been left openl Not rocket science ........... FF please note.

When we scored I was watching live stream and it paused as Delap was laid through and we didn't celebrate for over ten seconds...thenn when I did, I ran around the room and pulled the wire out of the socket on the router, meaning I missed what the mental was like Was it much like Villa Last minute?? If so, that must have been brill

The shed. They're right there. What a shit ground. Murder to get to, don't know you're at a football ground until you sit in your seat, and did you see the state of all the metal supports around the stadium!! I thought Stoke's needed a repaint in the summer! Bloody hell they're rotten, rusty and make you wonder if they will still be holding up the stands before Abramovich does one!
