Played very well against a star studded line up...nice to see a home grown player playing well and establishing himself a Premier League defender...Well done Andy

More experience for him and he'll become a very good player, tends to get frustrated occasionally, but once he irons that out, he'll be top quality.

Wish he'd work on his distribution. Defensively he is a good player but modern fullbacks do need to support their wingers.

Did well for most of the game but if you watch the first goal again he didn't really know where he was supposed to be and ended up in no mans land.
I really think he has the quality to do us proud however.

He has played well but still very raw...
Despite him getting better with every game we can't afford to not get a better player in as we aren't in a position to blood him in the hardest league in the World as we sit in the bottom 3
For me, wilko, whelan and cresswell shouldn't be in the first team and griff should only be cover

Wilko needs a good disciplining. He has already cost us one game, I don't want another.
In reply to northstokie: I agree. Wilko, Whelan and Cresser should not be first team, only cover along with Griff.

It is a massive step up for Andy but he has a heart like a lion he is a Stokie and with the right coaching will be an asset to us. He cost us the first goal but did so well against Ashley Cole that I can almost forgive him that error.

Thing is we need to think with our heads and not our hearts, yes he is a Stokie but was at fault for the first goal which gave them momentum for the second so cost us 1 point if not 3... Best thing we can do for Andy Wilkinson is drop him, stay in the top flight and get better players in for him to learn from and bring him in slowly with less pressure

He is doing really well but must learn quickly to establish himself, one slip in concentration can cost a goal as it did yesterday

who ever posted to leave whelan out on the bench are crazy. him and diao. i think diao isnt as good as amdy. but its a team game and we do better as a team when we have diao. are a good pairing for us. whelan is a classy player. with players like etherington lawrence beattie and kitson in your side. whelan is needed

he's to hot headed and doesn't seem to have learned from man u on boxing day where i feel he cost us a point. he was at fault for a goal at chelsea but did well against liverpool. he will be a reserve player or go to the championship. not top quality in my opinion.
