Let's hope the wage cap is not put on. With a bit of luck, the big spenders, who are ruining the game, might go bust.

Just to be the devils advocate, we complain about footballers wages, but not about movie stars getting 20 million for a film or a rock star getting millions for a song, christ Paul McCartney is almost a Billionaire.
So why is it so wrong for a footballer to be paid lots of money if his boss so sees fit to pay him. The argument is we pay his wages but do we really or is it straight from the rich chairmans pocket, which I think most of it is.
I am not saying I agree with these wages, i am just trying to point out other industries wages and how they are paid millions more than footballers but no one seems to take any notice. And we pay rock star wages by going to their concerts buying their records etc.

Football and money needs sorting out, if this was Microsoft or Tesco it would be deemed unfair competition, WE can't keep up, at least were in the prem but what about teams like oldham, swindon, MK Dons, Bradford teams that have already been in the prem. Will they ever stand a chance of competing in this league again? Even we recieve 60 million a year compared to their mill never mind Citeh spending 100 million on one player!! Also what about the affect on the fans, the one main thing I love about being a stoke fan compared to a Manure fan or Chelski fan is that I feel close to the players but with hopefully more success even that will get taken away from us, I mean Beattie drives a lambo and earns 30K a week, I don't know if I could respect anyone on half a million a week just for playing football never mind idolise them.
