I know no player is worth that kind of money, but even so surely there are more suitable players they could get in for half that

They could easily replace the quality, with the amount of money they'll get from the deal. AC Milan have now accepted the bid it is now up to Kaka if he decides he can live on £500,000 a week? I'm sure he does't have any doubts about his ability seing as he plays with a t shirt under his shirt saying "I'm the son of Jesus". What makes all this more worring is watching Hughes talking so calmly as if he is spending a fiver on the lottery

Hughes is quite clearly not in control of the transfer activities of the club he manages, he just looks like someone whose got on a roller ride, not really knowing what he's letting himself in for yet strapped himself in regardless. He has that slightly frightened, slightly confused "what the fuck is going to happen next" look on his face.
Stop I want to get off !

This has gone beyond common sense. In my eyes, City's potential has turned into something that totally lacks credibility. I fear for Kaka, he will be a target for all that is screwed up about football. He certainly won't stand a chance at the Brit.

Spot on there is something not right with his manor he must think it is all wrong you just don't act like he does if you didn't. You would be joyous of the occasion and he just isn't.

www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11854_4799027,00.html Kaka's spokesman has confirmed that AC Milan have given permission to the player to negotiate with Manchester City. Milan stated on Thursday for the first time that they were indeed considering City's offer - which was confirmed at €120million (£107million). Whilst the Italian giants consider their position they have allowed the Kaka camp to open talk over a possible move to Eastlands. Kaka's spokesman Diogo Kotscho admitted that although a deal was not close - the Rossoneri had given them the green light to open talks. "Milan has authorised the negotiation with Manchester City," he told Associated Press. "The next step now is that Kaka's father will eventually talk to Manchester City. "It's an exaggeration what they are saying in England that it's almost a done deal and it's an exaggeration that Kaka has rejected the offer." sorry if already posted

It's obscene, even a few Man City fans I work with were unsure about it, it's just too much money for a football player. It's not as if he's found a cure cancer and aids is it?

Just goes to show that "Money talks and morals walk".
What a ridiculous deal for all concerned - Kaka will give up Champions league football (for a few years, lets face it), Man City have an "all eggs in 1 basket" situation which will backfire massively as/when he gets injured.
Surely, they would be better getting 5 world class players in at c£20m each and paying them £100k per week. That would help them progress as a team - rather than expecting 1 player to turn their season(s) around.
Crazy, crazy deal.

When I got up and had brekie infront of the news, it was saying on the paper a figure of £236 mil? whats that all about?
£236, £107, £10, any way its absolutly fucking barking.
What happens when the sheik prick wants a new toy, e.g. a country and ditches the club?
Dicing with the devil with that sort of money, I just hoe they know what their doing.

All this will do is over-inflate prices for every other player in the Premier League. On the upside, we might now get £500 for Pericard.

Really is ridiculous, it gives Milan massive spending power in that league as well if it goes through. So it is affecting both the Prem and Serie A massively.
