. . . .how chuffed I am with our two new signings. Quite frankly I wouldn't be unhappy if they were to be our only new signings in January. Anyone else would be a bonus. Mind you I would be reet glad to see Sammi Hypia playing for us.
Looking at his career its obvious that Beattie shows his best form when wearing the Red and White stripes!
Worryingly, with all the focus on forwards at the moment does it mean that Sidibe is likely to be out for the season?

apart from the fact he's a regular for the league leaders, and we don't have a cat in hells chance of signing him, as he would be unlikely to leave with the chance of silverware to be had coming his way
It also says you have no faith in Abdy or Ryan, or Higgi, or any of the other 27,978 defenders pulis has in his squad

I don't know about regular Dave, but I do think we have less chance of signing him this time round. Besides I'm quite happy with Griff, Ryan, Abdy and Higginbotham, Wilko and Cort aren't bad back up either

Dave, we were interested in Hypia in the Summer, and Tone is nothing if not persistent. Apparently Sami was unhappy at the time that Liverpool didn't let him talk to Stoke. Also I hear that Liverpool are about to offer him a further one year contract, which is good for Sami from one point of view, but would appear to show that his long term future is far from settled.
Time to move on ?

Time to move on ? I'd suggest its more like time to retire. with players wages these days, they don't need to eek out a few more years in paid employment as a footballer, I expect when he is no longer getting games at Liverpool, he'll more than likely hang up his boots, he has nothing left to prove in the game, especially if they bag the big one this season

Quickly adding that I,m looking at the Squad picture here. I think we already have an excellent potential back line.
