Looking at our home games situ, with the BearPit effect we should get mighty close....2 or 3 away wins now would be great. (and will those pundits who never gave us hope, be praising TP master stroke at buying early in Jan,and getting the side working?....if it works!)

i think the team in 18th will get 38 points so anything above that should see us safe

42 but maybe less, I can't see it being such a statistical freak for the rest of the season, gaps are going to open up and one team's got to drop through the floor.

Mermaid, i think a lot will hinge on the next few weeks...and crickey, we have a head start now in the transfer stakes. Also, every season their seems to be one side that goes on a bad run,and drops like a stone. Reading last year....Pompey or Hull this?

I thought it was going to be Boro going into freefall last year but it wasn't, I think it could be again this time but on the basis of who's the worst manager Pompey and Wet Sham must be favourites. As for Hull I just don't know, I'd be genuinely sad for them if they've run out of steam already but their recent stats suggest they have.

Points are spread around more than previous seasons, so it will probably take 41. If we finish on 40 it could go down to goal difference which isn't a pleasing prospect.
I have said all through the season that Hull will finish bottom 2. Nothing I have seen of them has altered that view. The outrageously fortunate goals they scored in game after game inflated their league position. They have the weakest squad in the Prem and it is beginning to show.

42. I've said it for a while now and nothing has happened to change my opinion. This battle could go to the wire with maybe half a dozen or more clubs in the mire with a couple of games to go. I predict Stoke will get 44/45 points.
OS.

Anyone who thinks 40 pts will keep us up is going to be very disappointed....at least 42 which means we really have to improve away from home

I hope we don't have to go to Arsenal needing a win. Wenger could have the last laugh after all
