Personally if West Ham are found guilty I think Sheff Utd should be reinstated to the premier league even if it means 21 teams for one season. No axe to grind with Utd,they got worked over good and proper.

Surely if Sheffield United REPLACE West Ham (and I'd have no problem with that) then West Ham should be relegated to the Championship - and I'd have no problem with that either.

Everyone plays 40 games. Quite simple really. If Utd finished outside the top two and playoffs this season you cannot deny the three promoted teams a place in the premiership,so Sheff Utd would make 4 To redress the balance the following season 4 teams would have to be relegated, but by then we would be an established mid-table team.

nope, an extra team being relegated because of conflicts between two other teams is completely unfair. Unless it's Cardiff/baggies/dull or somebody like that ;D

Just get 'em to play each other in a one off match at a neutral ground, winner takes all, and be done with the whole sorry episode!
Tevez to play on loan for one game for the Blades mind. ;D

It's too late now, it's been 2 seasons after this one that it happened, it would just fuck everything up. West Ham should get a point deduction and Sheff Utd should get 60 mill to fund for players to get promoted next season should they fail this time round.

The way our Football is run in this country is bloody pathetic and bent...!
It is run by a gang of idiots.

What will happen if West ham finish in the bottom 3 this season? In that case, the Blades should be promoted instead of Wolves (if they don't blow it). ;D

Wolves + second place and Sheffield United is the best way of doing it.

Knowing the 'lets not hurt West Ham cos they're from London and a nice day out for us' FA I reckon if West Ham end up in the bottom three and Sheff United get promoted via the play offs then they will swap their positions, as requested by Sheff Utd! Therefore West Ham will be back to the Prem and Sheff U will stay down! Its scandalous that West ham got away with it in the first place

Sheff Utd to replace West Ham appeals to my sense of justice.
However, there is another club involved here. Step forward ManU. Rules over the permitted length of loans ignored so they can have Tevez. Rules that West Ham broke over players owned by an individual person ignored, also over Tevez. West Ham as good as relegated and need to win last game of season away from home. Lucky for them they played ManU then so they could win and stay up.
I'm starting to suffer from delusions, well I would have agreed until I saw the extent to which ManU are prepared to cheat with my own eyes. I hope we are not involved in an arrangement with them. Any money we have had for de Laet is suspicious in anyone's eyes.

West Ham will only recieve a massive fine and/or points deduction. Sheff Utd will only recieve a cash settlement. There will be no adjustment to the leagus positions etc. Its impossible to implement.
I reckon West Ham will recieve a massive fine, which they will go into administration for, but only after delaying until the end of the season. That means they will go into admin in the close season, giving them a minus point start to next season, but gets them another year in the league with the higher revenue.

hopefully West Ham have 15 points reduction for start of next season if they stay up, or 15 point deduction near the end of the season...Sheff-United should get £30million in money that they would have lost, and then the two teams should have a one-off match with both temas have any player they want playing for them

What about the shit in all of this sorry episode, why can they play Tevez with the same deal as West ham ie through his agent.

If they were to swap divisions, how would that work? Both teams go into cruise control until the end of the season, knowing that what they do doesn't matter?

West Ham should be docked 10pts this season immediately. If that loss of 10pts does not relegate them then those 10pts should instead be added to Sheff Utd's tally. If they do get relegated then they should swap places with Sheff Utd. If those 10pts mean Sheff Utd only get them a play off then so be it, but if Sheff Utd don't need the 10pts to get automatic promotion then next season they can be added to their Premiership total (their loss of money for the last 2 years roughly being equal to 10pts and probable survival). Job done...

Wolves + second place and Sheffield United is the best way of doing it. It's not though, think of teams like preston and burnley fighting it out for the play offs. If someone said this time last year Sheff Utd would get promoted woth the 2 automatically promoted clubs we'd have gone sick at the FA etc, because we were only hoping/expecting for play offs this time last season.

As much as West Ham should have been relegated for their disgusting breach of the rules, Sheffield Utd have to take a fair bit of responsibility themselves for the appalling run of form which saw them slide from looking fairly safe to fucking it all up.
