Sorry for starting another Beattie thread, wheel me if this has already been mentioned elsewhere...
I'm not somebody who has insider knowledge or any contacts within the club, but I was speaking today to a close friend of the GP who conducted the medical on Beattie... apparently he passed the medical but there are serious concerns over his knees which the GP has highlighted.
Not sure this causes any concern as such but maybe explains why the fee was lower than some expected.

I take it he's not heard of the hypocratic oath, Human Rights Act, Data Protection Act, client confidentiality then? Quality Dr. we use then. As if!!!!

If so then the doctor concerned is in breach of the hippocratic oath surely talking about a persons medical issues??

There are or were MAJOR concerns over Fuller knees hasn't stoped hims coring 6 goals this season and 1 in 3 for us since he joined.
Beattie is 30... So his knees aren't going to be up to much scratch...But he ahsn't had nay problems scoring 12 goals this season!
This said, I very much doubt any doctor who did a medical would say what happened as there patient confidentiality laws

Appreciate the confidentiality thing, just saying what I was told... surprised me aswell but I don't think the guy that told me would lie as I know him well and trust him. Don't personally know the GP but I wouldn't let him near me if this is how he treats his clients!
