He was desperately unlucky with two of his chances v Liverpool, I think if he'd been 100% fit and playing regularly he'd have scored at least one. He's just got to keep his head down and get on with it, then when he's scored 5 in 7 matches we'll all be more than happy!

Also, there's nothing like healthy competition to inspire and motivate! Ethers' signing must have given him a bit more confidence. I think we'll start to see what he's capable of now ;D

i have a great idea which may help kitson to get on the scoring trail now that the pitch has been narrowed we have extra room all round the playing area, i recon we should move the whole pitch 18 inches one way or the other, might make all the difference to him if the goals where slightly to the left or right of where they are now

people say kitsons got no pace, i agree but kitson is a goal poacher who doesnt rely on pace to score goals, think back to teddy sheringham in his heyday he didn't have alot of pace just a good footballing brain to get into the right positions. i think that now we have matty etherington we should start seeing the real dave kitson, he showed glimpses against liverpool on saturday with the header from rorys throw and the poor kick from reina he was alert to. i say keep the faith and if we sign a few more players of similar quality to etherington and beattie we should start seeing a return for the 5.5 million for kits.

Agree with that Stokie, with Etherington & lawrence back & better balls going in the box we'll see Dave come good. COME ON DAVE!!

Dave can do it and now he must know more than ever, he will have that supply line he craves with the arrival of Matty Ethers and the returning to fitness of our Liam. Him and Beattie may just hit it off well. It's now or never Dave, but I certainly believe in you
GOARNNNNN KITS!!

He was a bit shy to get in the box on saturday, he needs to be in the danger area more once the cavalry has arrived, rather than continuing to be out wide near the build up play.

We all know he's good, I mean when he got the pass from Reina he did well, going round the keeper is a classic move dont get me wrong but to think like that under pressure(on and off the pitch) is a different matter, he handled himself well and was unlucky not to see the back of the net.
A agree with Ben get him on a penalty, hes got the ability.

Losing faith rapidly myself. That chance v Reina he should have boffed it second touch - Reina was in no-mans-land. Bad decision to try & go around him.
Watching him get beaten for pace by Hyypia after having a head start was worrying too.

Come on Pez, you are thinking about this one dimensionally, you would think Jamie Carragher could receive a pass without donking it out for a throw.
In kitsons head he was in line to score his first goal for the club, he would be taking his time trying to make sure it is a dead cert, where as Hyypia 's job was to bomb it and throw himself infront of Kitson.
I cant defend him fully but its not as easy as your making out.
