lets use them correctly.
Etherington and Beattie are top signings, signings we needed for sure, Beattie is a proven goalscorer at this level, and gives us a fresh option up-front, and Etherington is the missing link we've needed addressing for a while, a decent pacey winger, capable of beating a man, and supplying good service to the forwards.
Alot depends though for me, as to whether Etherington will be used to take people on, and supply service to the forwards instead of protecting the defence, and Beattie will be used to feed off people's service and do what he's best at, scoring goals.
If Kitson and Beattie are used to fend off people's service they will score goals, i'm defiant on that, both players have experience at this level far superior to any other strikers in our team.
Something we've lacked in my opinion for a while, is another option of approach in games, yes, we have good physical and arial attributes to cause problems from set-pieces, throw-ins, and long-balls, and whilst we have the players to still use that approach, by all means carry it on, its proven and can cause teams problems at this standard.
But we now have a decent pacey winger who can take people on and open things up, with him, and hopefully one more creative midfielder we then have two potential approaches, we can also attack via the flanks, use our pace, and try to break teams down that way.
I know we can't attack, attack, attack, home and away, because up against the vast majority of the league, we have to try and limit their posession and chances, something we did excellently against Liverpool, stop them from playing, and try and take our chances.
You've made two excellent signings Pulis, and i can't credit you enough for what you've achieved in getting us promoted, and in my opinion seeing us in a steady position so far this season, but please use these players correctly, they, and the rest of the team can keep us up, if they are used correctly.
