Thanks ever so much for standing throughout the game so everybody else (especially me) had to stand as well. Obviously this was not helped by the fact that there were five of you for only four seats. But I couldn't match standing above the enterprising gentleman who actually stood on his seat (before falling off on top of the rather startled innocent unfortunate enough to be sitting beside him - oh, how he laughed!). Really appreciated your fag smoke, too. It added an extra bit of atmosphere to the non-smoking stadium. Make sure you read the match reports, since you missed the entire game due to giving it large for 90 minutes against the Newcastle fans to our left, rather than actually watching the game. But the icing on the cake was the attempt by the police to eject the one who kept on leaving his place to antagonise the Newcastle fans, which led to a minor skirmish that I was really enthralled by, especially as I was almost knocked over myself. I tried to keep your seats warm for you after you all disappeared further up and left towards the home fans, no doubt to discuss the finer points of the game with them.
It's so good to see the ID card scheme working so effectively.
Cue accusations of lacking a sense of humour, lacking passion, lacking any loyalty towards my fellow Stokies, etc.. But it's because of this kind of stuff the majority of us have to put up with a humiliating card scheme in the first place.

I wasn't that fussed about the people in front of me standing, it meant i didn't have to watch the game, which frankly bored the shit out of me , they scored inside 10 mins, and it was game over, we were so far away I may as well have been watching Newcastle Town game from the hill in Lyme Valley , no in fact I would have been closer to the pitch had I done that

I werent bothered about standing me sen, considering I had been sat down for 4 hours and would be on the journey home. The guy next to me had 2 crutches with him and there were people standing infront of him how do you think he felt? 20 quid, travelling 330 miles and not being able to see the game

For fucks sake pal.
I bet you took your wife aswell didnt you?
Match days are about watching the game and having a laugh, even if that means (heaven forbid) standing up.
So basically what you're saying is, anybody that stands up, or upsets you should be banned from travelling away?
Just out of curiosity, did you say anything to these lads? Didnt think so.

Linx: There were some idiots there last night.....so called Stokies (makes me laugh.)
I was sitting a few seats from the Newcastle fans, and around 70% of so called Stokies spent the 90 mins eyeing up 10 and 11 yr old Newcastle fans!
At one point in the 2nd half with around 10 mins to go there were a few empty seats in front of me, so two people aged around 23 - 24, sat in the seats and stood for the remaining 10 mins, gesturing and threatening each and every Newcastle fan they could see, the thing is you can't tell them, as they would probably start on you. I did mutter under my breath to my brother, how do people like this get ID cards!?
Getting rid of ID cards, should never cross the minds of the Stoke City hierarchy, as if by last night anything is to go by, it would get worse and worse, even if they relaxed the rules a little.
Final moan, if we did make it into the Premiership, one thing I wouldn't look forward to would be sitting with this scum of the earth, week in, week out! It's more relaxed and enjoyable when you get 400 at Ipswich.
Grow up so called Stokies.

I think the so-called fan who did not watch a minute of the game in row j had had half a shandy meself! It would have been soo nice to give him a shove and see how many rows he went down!!! Oops did i really say that!!!! And that kid who was bouncing off every wall and effing and jeffing all the way down the stairs after the match threatening to take on all geordies (while there were none in earshot anyway!!) had had a sniff of a shandy too. Tools!!!

How many times has a Stoke fan been set upon by his own supporters?
And..
How often do pillocks come on here complaining about fellow supporters?
You do the math RAF.

linx how did u cope at the old ground when you were stood on the Boothen. Standing at football makesa far bettet atmosphere.
wish the Brit had a standing section, that would deffo improve the atmosphere.

What the fuck are half of you on about with the 'standing makes better atmosphere' bollocks? If you're all standing and it's on terracing then great but this is an ALL SEATER stadium you fucking retards!
Seats are there for you to sit in . . . sure if everyone is standing - stand if the majority are sitting then sit the fuck down!
The mongels described above probably are some of the wankstains that stands in front of the disabled supporters at the Brit.

I don't think the standing is an issue here, its the general mongishness of the knobs who feel its their right to act like tossers when they are safe in amongst Stokies who just want to watch the game, if you want to go for it with opposing fans , do it on the quiet meet up in town somewhere and get it out of your system there, i'm sure you would get better results if you did. gobbing off behind a line of stewards/coppers just makes you look toss, and pisses off the Stokies who aren't interested, and gives the pro ID party more sticks to beat us with
