Similar signing for Hull as Etherington was for us, except that we had nobody who could call that position their own before Matty came in. Anyone know how much they're paying?

boa morte strikes me as a player who can do it when he wants and normally in his first or last few games for a club

Guess they can use him in a similar manner as they do Barmby. Worth a punt at £1.5m though, might turn out decent for them. West Ham fans don't seem to rate him too highly though.
Thought kilbane was a bit past it now.

I think that's a very good signing for them if it comes off.

Boa Morte is 32 this summer, 4 years older than Etherington.

I do think Boa Morte will be a decent signing for them, but ide sooner have Etherington, who has more years ahead of him, more pace, and better distribution.

Boa Morte is 32 this summer, 4 years older than Etherington. Odd signing. Doesn't seem anywhere near the player he was at Fulham. But Tango's done pretty well in the transfer market so I assume he knows what he's doing. I'd have Etherington every day of the week though.

never mind Hull, more to the point its yet another player jumping the rotten ship that is West Ham
WHU still have Bellamy,Parker,Green,Ashton & Upson bet none of them are there by the close of the window.

There's a theory that they're selling off as many fringe players as possible (Etherington, Boa Morte, Davenport) in attempt to hang on to the spine of Green, Upson, Parker and Bellamy.

There's a theory that they're selling off as many fringe players as possible (Etherington, Boa Morte, Davenport) in attempt to hang on to the spine of Green, Upson, Parker and Bellamy. Trouble is, that spine is fairly injury prone. A few knocks to them could seriously damage their hopes.
