Just watching vids on youtube and beattie has taken many penalties and some brilliant free kicks.
I wonder who will take them now???? Higgy, Fuller, Beattie all like them never mind Whelan and others. If we ever do take part in a penalty shoot out we'll be laughing.

lawrence as well...
i thought this straight away when we were linked with him...
i'd say Fuller takes until he misses, then change to Higgy, then Lawro, then Beatts...

When will we be in a penalty shoot out? that was my thoughts, we now have a squad that could win one, and we are out of both cups Liams quite good with them too |

Personally, I'm never comfortable with Ric as a penalty taker - He's too predictable, always going for the bottom right corner, which would be ok if he leathered them!
Don't know much about Beattie's spot kicks (apart from the fact that he usually scores!), but at the moment I think Higgy's the best we have.

Beattie absolutely leathers them. I am sure I read somewhere that he has never missed one!!

I heard last night by my drunk mate that beattie as scored 9 this season, all top corner, but I don't think hggy as missed for us, Liams are quality too...So one out of the 3 for me

Fuller's lazy penalty taking scares the crap out of me. He has a relatively high success rate but Higgy/Beattie are better options.

Ricci has never been our first choice penalty taker. Last season Lawrence was first choice and if Lawrence was on the pitch, Fuller only took the penalties he won for himself. The season before, Higgy took most of the penalties and the season before that it was Hoof. I'd say we now have three good penalty takers in Beattie, Lawrence and Higgy and I suspect that they rank in that order as far as ability is concerned. Fuller is a definate 4th choice for me - as Knowles says, far too casual.

To take part in a penalty shoot out the team has to not lose the first game then the replay and extra time  not going to happen mate, this is us remember. |
