Given wanting out, Ameobi and Carroll signed up. The thug Barton and plenty of other average players all soon to be joined by Nigel Quashie!!
Crap squad managed by someone who is used to being relegated. Fingers crossed.

I have been thinking much the same thing, home record is getting worse all the time, board room problems. I dont mind the toon at all but someone's gotta go down instead of us!!!!

I dont think that Newcastle will be relegated, although after wathing them against Liverpool who knows!
I think Portsmouth are in a whole host of trouble
Brazil are already down, however Jay Simpson may start to make things look interesting for them
I think the last 2 relegation places will come down to the last game(s)
The trouble this year is that 40 plus points are going to be needed to ensure safety
Wigan who I thought would struggle are 3/4 there already
Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Man City, Tottenham, Blackburn and us plus a few others could easily go down
1 win and you fly up the table
One thing I dont like, is if it comes down to the last game of the season, I wouldn't like to go to The Emirates to try and get something with the Wenger/Pulis war of words that happened up here
I'm glad that after this weekend the top four are out of the way until May though. A lot of people around us are still to play them for a second time

Relegation will do the Toon supporters a world of good. They need a wake up call.

Newcastle fans definitely fit into the mould of Leeds and Forest fans, living off past glory and think they have a god given right to be in the top flight
I think there will definitely be a shock this season regarding relegations

Yep agree with portsmouth in free fall at the moment, hoping for a downturn with west sham as well, points deduction, sell all the players and slide down, also boro are doing a forest and are too good to go down !

My sneaking suspicion is that, if there is to be a "shock" relegation, it'll be....Spurs

and most fans are deluded, just look at some of the posts on here All teams have some deluded fans, but most have fairly realistic ambitions. Except The Toon. Is there another club with such a massive gulf between achievement and expectation? Possibly Baaardiff I suppose! ;D

West Ham are going to be in trouble once Bellamy is sold but i think Hull have really got to start performing again otherwise they will be dragged right down.
As for Newcastle going down - Fingers Crossed!

Pompey for me they seem to be in freefall at the moment ,an owner looking to sell, so no investment in the team, and an inexperienced manager with a poor track record.

Can't see Newcastle, Pompey or Spurs going down to be honest, i think west ham and middlesbrough look the most likely to be the suprise sides to fall this season along with west brom, and maybe hull, who need in my opinion 15-18 points to be guaranteed survival, and thats easier said than done.

Hull look ropier by the day, as well as Middlesboro & Pompey, who will start losing play at a metronomic rate. West Ham could yet be fined in points for the Tevez saga.
If we stop up, the number of teams who have been badly run means that we coudl stay here for a while. The likes of Newcastle, Pompey, West Ham & Bolton are in the shit, and all we need to do is stop up this season and watch them having fire sales for their best players.
I think Albion, Blackburn & Hull City. We'll finish 16th.
