I love let me google that for you ;D That was quite good. Unfortunatly it didn't give the answer. (unless I couldn't see it due to too much 99p beer in wetherspoons) the answer is YES! they get ant flu, a bad case can wipe the whole nest out. They take antibiotics as a cure!

To be frank...why do you honestly have to know the answer to this pointless question??? We had some ants behind our fireplace once, and we had a sure fire way to get rid of them. We forgot to turn the pilot light off and sprayed some flammable ant spray straight into the back of the nest...Let's just say, we almost blew the house up completely ;D Only way to kill them properly though is by using a bug person who gives them proper spray...Probably gives them the flu???
