I suppose some people would say it's down to the freakish narrowness of our pitch? I think that does indeed have a big impact on teams when they visit, it more or less eliminates wingers, Ronaldo was forced to come inside and we snaffled him out of the game, Young for villa was virtually ineffective, probably two of the best wide men in the league and world ? .... we force teams to go through the middle and they try get past our two midfield destroyers. And obviously teams don't like the atmosphere at fortress Britannia either, it does seem to upset a lot of teams.

I've thought the following were poor/worse than I expected:
Villa Tottenham Sunderland Arsenal Brazil ManUre Liverpool
Hull were about what I expected while I've been impressed with:
Everton Chelsea Fulham

Chelsea , we were always on the back foot, both of their goals had element of good fortune, but all we could do was play catch-up. In retrospect Everton were professional, I was devastated when we lost to them, but looking back they did just enough to get the points. Sorry but I can't even think about manure.

Chelsea by a million miles - its the one and only home game where i've sat back and thought, 'shit we have no chance here'. They absolutely controled it - we were without Rory and Ric though.
