Firstly I cant believe that a full house of Stoke fans started singing a song that Liverpool fans use to cheer on their team. We should sing Oh when the Stoke and not the reds. Don't get me wrong it sounded fantastic but a better choice of words me thinks.
Secondly. I have this chap sat behind me for the first time this season. Every game he comes out with some sort of moan but yesterday was the best yet. Rory had just launched a scud into their box when this chap says "he should not be aloud to throw it like that". I just looked at him in disbelief. Where do these people come from?
Anyway thats it. Shit bin if ya want Ive had my say. ;D
Edit. Not a moan just an observation. A fantastic atmosphere and a cracking game. Go on Stoke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean about song choice. I was in Block 10 for the Hull game and some numpties around me kept joining in with Hull's "City" songs. I think that was why there was so many (too many) Delilah's that game though....
I was in the South stand for Liverpool - I think it was obvious it was Stoke fans singing "oh when the reds" considering we hardly heard a peep from their fans all game!

We've always used the words red, rather than Stoke for as long as I can remember in that song The bloke behind you ..at a guess from Walton,or Woolton,Wavertree maybe, if not Kirkby, and then there's always Huyton to name just a few

Must be his first season ticket. He will soon get into the swing of things. It took him 4 games to start getting players names right. ;D

Another observation. Liverpool never had a black player on the pitch until Babble came on in the 2nd half. PC brigade. Please don't read anything more into that than it was, just an observation and you don't see it to often these days.

Agreed Dave. I really rate Babble and was more worried when he came on. Also agree with you Salop. Just wish we could sing Stoke instead of reds. Especially when the oppo are known as the reds.

Its a point but as the second oldest club in the world and the first play in black and white we have every right to sing it.(the fact that we started out playing in black and white stripes and vale red and white stripes has nothing to do with it) ;D

One look at your full backs and you know that Babble could/should have one us that game. Maybe our black players took one look at your two and just thought 'not thanks i'll do some knitting instead!'

The one thing I noticed yesterday was that Gerrard doesn't just play shite for England.

On the song theme, "we won it 2 times" was as loud as I've heard it.
However, this seems more like a tongue in cheek song for the fans themselves and other than making a noise I couldn't see this inspiring the team ?
