not so worried about pace, just needs to be more determined, could be similar to teddy sheringham if he had more determination, showed good touches yesterday just needs to want it more

he's just copme back from a fairly serious injury and was blowing out of his arse from the start of the second half. He's certainly not match fit yet so he'll pick up his pace a little from yesterday I think

I hope I'm wrong, but he doesn't seem to have the committment to score come what may. In old parlance he's too nesh. On another thread it was suggested that he's quite a bit quicker than Cresswell, and although Cressy isn't at all blessed in the pace department, that really made me laugh ;D

I don't buy this "he's not determined" nonsense, just cause he doesn't run around like a headless chicken? What's the point in chasing down impossible balls if he knows he's not quick enough to even stand a chance; he'd just get knackered and then he wouldn't be any use at all.

he would be an amazing striker for us if he had pace and he wasn't so lazy

lazy? I don't think he is, he ran his nuts off yesterday and he was our first line of defence. He's not a headless chicken type running round for the sake of it, he's a more intelligent type of player, don't confuse as being lazy

Well it's established that he's not a "headless chicken", so he doesn't put himself about much. He also doesn't score any goals! So what does he do?

i think he'll come good once he regains his fitness. I thought he did well yesterday and with another 5 or 6 games under his belt and a goal he'll fire us up the table. Stokies singing his name must be a massive boost for him

But bleedin 'ell we only have 8 or 9 home games left, can't he start performing now?

He's running like a long distance runner. So some speed would help.

If only Kitson made some effort would be a better title for this thread. Can't believe anyone thought he had a good game. He was better than Vince, he was better than his usual self in the second half, but this doesn't equate to good.
We had two players up front and the most effective one was Richard Cresswell. If he doesn't look as good as Cresswell, then he is isn't the answer in this division.
The only glimmer of hope is that he is returning after his 'injury'. We are told he is a penalty area predator - if he gets the ball in the box he will score. What like he did when through on goal at Portsmouth or Hartlepool or yesterday.
Someone said yesterday that if a school report was being written on our players, Kitson's would say 'disappointing start, little achieved, must work harder'. I agree.

Thought he played fairly well, linked well and DID work hard. Looked a better option than any of the liverpool strikers
