This lad has been fantastic for us so far this season, gives 110% every game and never lets his head drop.
However, his eagerness to play the long ball is a bit annoying. When Sidibe is playing it isn't too bad but when he isn't it's just inviting pressure back on to us when the oppostion win the ball back.
We've seen what a few nice passes down the left can do for the goal against West Brom and now with Etherington on the left i hope he'll play it shorter and work some space, it would be criminal of us to bypass Etherington with the long ball.
I'm not knocking Higgy i just hope with a new left winger that's far better than Cresswell that he starts to use the ball a bit differently.

To be honest both current fullbacks Higgy and Wilko are cracking defenders and hard as nails but total "hoofers" when in possession. Unfortunately if they could play football as well they wouldn't be playing for us!!

I'm not too sure about it at the moment. I noticed Higgy's and Wilko's "quality direct passes" ( (c) MOTD re Liverpools chances) yeasterday too when Etherington was running and calling for the ball. I think it is just going to take a little training and practice for them to realise that we actually do have someone who can run with the ball!!!

Cant not Higgy for his defencive work but I agree with the original post Higgy is always looking for the long diagonal ball which the majority are hit and hope but after yesterday I think this will change as Etherington wants the ball early and at his feet.

Blatantly the biggest hoofer in the team, but I don't really care tbh, he's a quality defender.
I dunno what he'll be like now he's got a proper winger on front of him. He seems like he's got a brain in his head so I can't see him resorting to just booting it... Maybe Etherington's influence will actually force the ball to be kept on the ground a bit.

They are obviously TOLD to 'hoof it' when receive it so the manager wants bloody telling to play football abit and get into the midfield or at least mix it up but these two get it and everytime its hit to the moon especially from Higgy,he is so predictable.
