On the way back from the match yesterday, listened to 606 on Radio 5 live, they were saying Liverpool should have won easy, as Hartlepool beat Stoke easy, they failed to mention we put out a completely different side(i'm not excusing a poor performance in the cup) and gave us no credit for yesterdays brilliant result and performance, they were saying that Liverpool played poor not that we stopped them playing, it seems that the BBC on a whole, MOTD and 606 don't like us at all.

"Fuck em!!" seems to be a good statement for the media as a whole...

I was furious in the car. Green never mentioned Stokes performance once, just that Liverpool had been terrible. Typical blinkered attitude.

I heard it too!!
They were bumming Liverpool, saying how they didn't perform and refused to say anything about Stoke's Performance at all.
'Well we could have won easily if Alonso played'....'Gerrard was taunted all game, he can't play when people make fun of him'...'Stoke were lucky to escape with a point at Anfield, and even luckier at home, we outplayed them for 90 minutes'
Bloody nonsense!!

'Stoke were lucky to escape with a point at Anfield, and even luckier at home, we outplayed them for 90 minutes' Bloody nonsense!! Absolute nonsense you're right. Until the last 10 minutes we were the better team yesterday - at Anfield we were completely outplayed but defended like lions. Get over it scousers!

We've played 8 of the top 9 at home (all of the strong top 6), and we still have one of the best home records in the league - and it's all down to the opposition having off days.

Its always the same with all the media, whenever any lower ranked team gets a result against the golden 4 its because LiverManChelskiArse have had an off day NEVER because the opposition played well.

Alan Green IS a Liverpool fan and he could barely contain his anger and disappointment that his "glory boys" had been unable to beat Stoke. Throughout the whole phone in he acted like a spiteful and bitter fan (glory hunter in his case) who couldn't handle the fact his team had failed to win and open up a gap at the top.
He should be thrown off Radio Five, and get a job with BBC Radio Merseyside where his bias would be acceptable.

Quite interesting to hear when I got back on the bus that Radio Stoke brought this up. They said that all the rest of the media will concentrate on how poor liverpool were and should have beaten stoke rather then say that stoke played to their strengths and played well.....

don't you feel proud though to be a hated supporter of a disliked team. i do i fucking love it keep the powder dry and a list of all those who have had a pop at us and e-mail them at the end of the season when we stay up, and ram it back down their sad throats

The attitude of Alan Green yesterday has been typical of this season, most teams can't match us at home and the media..........mostly the BBC don't like it, they don't like that our brand of football gets us results at home, but we don't care GO ON STOKE!!!

Except that Alan Green only showed that attitude when we were playing his beloved Liverpool. He should at least have the good grace to tell the nation that he IS a glory hunting Liverpool fan instead of pretending to be a neutral when he is slagging us off. BM
