showed a bit of skill once or twice which was a nice surprise!
shame he didn't react quick enough to rory's shot off the bar - just sort of hit him

Can't knock him for effort. Just wish the ball didn't bounce off him so much!

As always "worked 'arrdd" and I commend him for it, but scoring at this level seems beyond him.

Excellent perfomance by Cresswell.Transfer window is open, the game was live on TV,with a bit of luck someone will put a bid in for him and do us all a favour

Still not good enough! I spoke to him after the game and he seemed to think his time at Stoke was coming to an end with Pulis looking to bring in two new strikers. Still served us well

As always "worked 'arrdd" and I commend him for it, but scoring at this level seems beyond him. He is never going to score from the Mama position though is he. The scoring is meant to be done by the lone striker and the two wide midfield players - just like last season. Richard Cresswell is a fine professional who served us well last season and has had to play in a number of roles this season when injuries have hit others. He is a useful player to have in the squad and he must be one of the fittest players to have ever played the game. He runs for the full 90mins and not just jogging he charges around all over the pitch. He was up against a very physical back 4 today and gave as good as he got. He frequently got his head to the up and unders. In the first half he had to play the Mama role and the lone striker as Kitson had gone AWOL. I am flabbergasted that there are threads praising Kitson and other people criticising Cresswell. As of this moment in time, Richard Cresswell has made a more important contribution to Stoke City than Kitson, so lets give him some credit tonight and cut out the snidey remarks.

i concur with everything you say about Cresswell, but unfortunately, very unfortunately, his best isn't good enough for us in this division and he's probably honest enough to admit that himself.

I think he will move on at the end of the season, I for one will applaud his service - nothing is too much trouble for him and he never gives less than 110%. A true servant.

thought cressy had a good game, showed his commitment in the second half when he won the ball back after he lost it. i agree he's probably not prem quality but he always gives his all in a stoke shirt.

he should be rightly acknowledged for his effort and commitment, but we will not win many games with him playing in the team
can someone tell me how many games have we won with him starting??????? i can't think of one!!!
it is not his fault that he his picked, and he can do a job for a championship team, though he hardly set that division on fire.

Got to agree about the man's fitness, it's outstanding. Fuck knows where that failed medical story before we signed him had any roots in!

He did work harder and had his best performance of the season, but still not good enough, can't seem to read the game.

a credit to this football club and we should appreciate his work ethic to gain us promotion.however the guy is not good enough in the premiership for consistency.

Cresswell no different today than before. Bags of effort but does not have it at this level. I dont knock Cress for effort but just does not contribute to us getting wins.

cressie is, and has been since he joined us, an absoulute credit to himself and the club. His limitations are there for all to see but his fitness and professionalism in performing in roles that are unnatural to him are heartwarming. If he does leave he should be remembered as somebody whose goals helped get us promoted and who never ever let us down. take a bow cressie

True pro ... just a shame he isn't quite good enough at this level.

But he more than contributed to us taking a point off the team topping the table today. When called upon, he does a job, it's not his fault we are suffering from injuries and suspensions to be fair.

great performance yesterday and gave his usual 110% but as has been mentioned a few times, not quite good enough at this level but he's always looked better playing up front as opposed to out wide. personally i hope we don't sell, lets use him when needed, late sub , in attack, with his energy he makes space for the other (more talented) striker.
