Fair result, the scouse can have no complaints, pretty even on chances. Definitely a point gained. Can't wait to see Etherington and Lawrence on at the same time. Well done City! Add into that Fuller back and someone like Beattie to add extra power to the front lineup, a Joe ledley tpe to bring a little more creativity to midfield then game on for the rest of the season!

fuller back and james beatie in plusmaybe an attacking right back, could be good.
we have to push our 2 full backs in a bit if we are to score especialy away from home.carragher was nearly a winger first half.

great result. great performance. stopped the rot. got some pride back after the shenanigans as west sham. a good advert for potential TP recruits.
if we get a couple back (ric and lawrence), and get 2 or 3 more in, then i think we've got a good chance of staying up.

Shawcross excellent again . Shawcross and Abdy Faye were both effin brilliant. Faye is so relaxed on the ball, takes his time, rarely looks rushed. It's top.

Watched it on Fox Sports Espanol. Cracking match and we played a hell of a lot better than recently. A few more additions to the squad and we'll have a very decent team that should be able to stay mid-table if we stay up. Whelan played alright but lost the ball a few times in dangerous position which worried me but was very unlucky with the freekick. A great point to start a tough month!
Faye was my MOM, outstanding today, calm on the ball, great tracking, excellent defending and he brings out the best in Shawcross as well!

A GREAT performance, more so because it came on the back of Wet Sham and Hartlepool. We just can't go down if we're capable of days like today.
And Dave Kitson IS going to come good, if he had the confidence of regular Prem games he'd have got two.

I'm not Kitson's biggest fan and he should have bagged at least one goal but coming back from injury his display could hardly be described as inept...
Nervy ending but we'll take that result.
Much better performance

Just back, the whole team deserve credit, good performance and should have won, but it's one more point than i thought we'd pick up today.
Kitson had a good game, he will come good, keep the faith!

That performance SHOWS we can stay up and what a time to get it with the window open.
If people don't want to join us now, they never will.
Absolutely class.
Etherington, Kitson, Abdy...superb.

Ay up Stokies A nerve-wracking but enjoyable match. Was on live here (12:30 PM) but I couldn't watch then so just now played my tape. Great debut IMHO for Etherington; glad to see him in red & white. I've been no fan of Kitson's thus far, but have to say he impressed today and was desperately unlucky not to break his duck. A precious point against the leaders: happy birthday, TP We art Stoke ;D

Cant believe peple are saying Liverpool were poor! They were wank BECAUSE we didn,t give them a minute on the ball!!! They were shit because we hassled them all the time and were in thier faces all the time!! For fucks sake give us some credit for a great team performance...and Gerrard WILL get fucked in the shower!!! ;D ;D ;D

Like 339187, I had to watch a recording ... which has just finished ... And in a couple of hours I'm sure I will be delighted with the point. But at the minute I just can't get our missed chances out of my head! A surperb performance against the league leaders, but we should be celebrating 3-points, not saying well done for battling to 1. Yeah, that's why TP has (almost) signed Beattie and yeah, with Mama and Ricci out, what do I expect (I expect someone to stick one of our three glorious chances away, that's what I expect!). Postives: Great debut for Etherington, good games for the-Fayes. Thought Whelan had the best game I've seen him have for us (and was unlucky with his free kick) and that Pulis got the tactics spot on (though I thought going 4-5-1 right at the end was a bit mental). Thought Rory, Cresser and/or Kitson (who had his best game for us ... which isn't saying too much) should have scored. Thought the crowd was magnificant (as ever). ... anyway can I just say I thought the ref was very good Yes he was, he was excellent, lordb. Happy and frustrated is, I reckon, the best way to describe how I feel at the mo. ah

lets not get carried away with this performance.stoke defended very well, the pitch knackered liverpool up more than us did.we didnt hound them we allowed them to play all over the pitch but marked the dangerous areas very well.delaps shot should have gone in but the linesman missed 3 stoke players offside and i would have gone apeshit if that was liverpool.the header was way offside, they hit the woodwork twice, and a terrible error allowed kitson to hit wide.
i am deperate to see stoke stay up but to say we were brilliant is overstating in the extreme.last week every body wanted tp sacked now he is great again.Whelen was average,he lost the ball too many times, kitson was crap first half and was crying for us to push on more, which we didnt do,higgy just banged the ball up front.etherington made a liverpool player mark him so at least he looked a threat.we defended very deep and relied on set pieces again and nearly sneaked it,against one of the best sides in the world. will not be pretty at chelsea and if they score 1 we lose,so 0-0 is the only possible result unless we get a ref that loves us.i am being positive and realistic, and an honest view point,i love stoke city and will always love them but goals win matches and we need to start scoring and its not realy about bringing in a good goal scorer its about creating more than a couple of chances in a game by good football, and not relying on the opposition to give us a goal by bad play. very happy with a point and 1 more point next week will give us confidence for tottenham and man shitty

I thought we played better than we have for some time although benitez gave us a chance by his team selection....we did what we do well and actually played a little bit of football at times. Thankfully we hopefully have solved our left sided midfield problem with Etherington who looks like he is a signing that will actually improve the team. But still the lack of goals is a real worry...thats down to tactics poor strikers and lack of creativity in central midfield....still hoping that central mid and up front will get improved in January. A draw against the leaders is one to celebrate
