thought he looked really sharp last night especially first half
good to see a Stokie doing well, 15 goals for him so far this season.

He led the line very well last night (especially first half). I loved the way the commentator called his goal "unmissable". He clearly wasn't at Cardiff ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif)

It's embarrassing that he never got a chance at Stoke and yet in his first season away from us he scored 13 in the Championship for a relgated side and then became Burnley's most expensive signing and has so far scored 15 for them this season!!
TP = wanker!

I liked Patto but could we seriously have promised him first team football ahead of Mama and Fuller? Would anybody have advocated that at the time, especially given the way we play? In the event he went off to make a success of himself elsewhere and we got promoted to the Premier League, so everyone won.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Patto needed to go in order to get first team football. he's certainly making a name for himself in the championship. good luck to him, hopefully he will be back 1 day

we should have had a clause in his contract along the lines of... if in the event of Stoke having no recognisable strikers fit at anytime in the future we can buy him back at the sale price on 24hrs notice, because as we all know Pericant isn’t recognisable as a player, let alone a striker.

Bit of a trend developing here ... Ben Foster anyone? Again, we had two good goalkeepers at the club in excellent form. Which one of them would you have dropped to blood an untested rookie? Would you have told Foster that he couldn't have his dream move to Manchester United because we needed him for the bench in case Simmo got injured? We got a good deal, he got a great move, and again, it worked out well for everybody.

It is my understanding that he left because he was offered a very poor contract, which was a way of saying he was not wanted at the club. In fact Scunthorpe offered him considerably more in wages, plus guarantee of first team football.
