Little bit confused by this dodgy translation but Lovenkrands (who we were linked with last summer) appears to have effectively been given a free ticket to leave while Kuranyi has been given an extended break. Get them both in "Peter Lövenkrands and Albert Streit were thrown on Sunday from the professional cadre."
"In addition, ex national player Kevin Kuranyi, one day longer vacation spendiert."www.derwesten.de/nachrichten/sport/fussball/1-bundesliga/s04/2009/1/5/news-102469913/detail.html

If we make just two signings in this window, these two would be awesome

Fulham appear to be front runners for Lovenkrands signature. I see no reason why we shouldn't at least be trying to compete with them.

I would have thought that we have more chance for Lovenkrands than Kuranyi. The fact that there has even been links is crazy to me.

erm... big name in German footbaall, probably been on a good wage for some time, so is quite money driven.
S lets to to England, Stoke or London...erm tough choice.
We going to find it had to attract any real quality i think

Pretty bold statement. Both players have been told that they will not be considered for Bundesliga action for the rest of the season and will now train with the club's reserves.www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11881_4750432,00.html

Lovenkrands was my favourite summer rumour! His wife is Scottish and we are nearer to Scotland than Fulham is. ;D

He is over rated anyway....... how he got into the National side I'll never know. Mind you, we were desperate and he had a flash in the pan season, but once other sides worked him out that was it. He let all the adulation go to his head very quickly and once he realised that his 15 mins were over and that he was not as good as he thought or things were not going his way... turned very lazy and toys out of prams time!!!!!!
Not the sort we want at stoke.......

... is the hilarious "fish out of water" new detective series from Holland! Dirk Lovenkrands is the tough cynical beat cop, who always goes by the book to get a collar. "Balky" Kuranyi was bought uo by Goats in the Ex Russian Republic of Donkeystan and eats anything. Marvel how these unlikely pair take on Amsterdams undercover sex and drugs barons! Fulham appear to be front runners for Lovenkrands signature. I see no reason why we shouldn't at least be trying to compete with them. What about 3 reasons? Etherington, Ledley and Owusu perhaps? Agree with German Stokie - he's good in flashes but often invisible.
