Anyone heard if Stoke will be moving their night match v Bolton to Saturday 24th Jan - 4th round date as both sides are out of the cup. We've done it before - we're probably old hands at it as we usually go out of the cup first time of asking.

i was thinking that but i dont think either manager would want to do that especially us, i think TP would prefer to get all of his signings in before the game, something which might not be done before the 24th

But it will give us a good chance of getting some points in January ... because the other teams are probably too good for us (bar Man City, but then again they would have a new XI by then).

If we played Bolton on the 24th we would only have 3 days before we played Spurs away on the 27th. So maybe its best not to rearrange it and leave it as it is?

I wouldn't think so, as the hospitality boxes will already have been booked and we can't risk injuries, as stokelad implies, before the very winnable Spurs game.
What's more, I'd be hopping mad if it was changed, as we booked our holiday, on the assumption that we'd be out of the Cup and I don't intend to miss any league matches.

The gap in the calendar scheduled for the 5th round is more likely in my opinion.
Early February isn't it?

14th Feb.
Or maybe you could even move it to the 7th March when the 6th Round is.
