look at where we are for goodness sake, for the first time in years we are in the top flight, OK maybe not flying high as in the table sense, but come, on good or bad we are here & should enjoy it.
tp & co know what hey are doing & if we go down , it will not be because we have not tried.
bad results happen to every team & when they do we should get behind them, the manager & each other. all this " pulis out " rubbish is boll ox, managers being given the tik tac willy nilly, christ look at sir alex, it took him a while to get a trophy for man utd, now look at him.
so to all the negative people on here..... keep the faith, guys & gals, it's one hell of a ride being a stoke fan, but i would not change it for the world, no matter where we are.

Its not so much the result, for christs sake we are used to losing to lower teams, its the way we play and the fact that we never look like changing it or scoring.

Some of us would like to remain in the top flight and do not fancy waiting another 23 years to get back into it.

Hmm, I'm a longtime Pulis lover but it would be crazy to say there's not serious cause for concern right now. Congratulating ourselves for getting promoted is all well and good but that's a long time ago and Tone needs to find something a bit special as well as find what used to be his strengths again. We have to face the fact that we've been badly on the slide lately and that TP is the one who needs to get a grip.

no not at all but he puts out a team that he thinks would do the job and ive just seen on another forum that the stoke players looked like they didnt want to be there today why not get a thread saying weres the leadership on the field because pulis doesnt deserve this stick ok he picks a striker that wouldnt get in vale but he was the only first team fit striker

We have been getting plaudits all season for our support yet now after a poor 4 weeks we all seem to be falling over our selves to have a go.Yes Pericard is the worst forward to play in the Prem but all that shows is the fact that our squad needs strengthening,we have been unfortunate with injuries and Ricks actions but we must stick together and carry on getting behind the team.

you can't please some people , but glad to see there is some sense from some people, half the moaners prob don't go to all the games anyway, so they should stop whinging & get there wallet out & help strenghen the squad instead of moaning in front of a computer

Well we should have signed another striker to negate the use of Pericard. And I guess playing players out of position is the players faults too?

Maybe I'm in a harsh mood with Tone tonight but the problem of leadership on the pitch is his too, he's had to fine his captain and so he knows it needed decisive action, which on today's evidence just ain't happened.

Potterspride, isnt it his job to make sure that the team he puts out, and dont forget he bought them to Stoke, are up for it? Apparently it's only tonys responsibility in games that we win. In games that we lose he is absolved of any blame whatsoever. I wish I had a job like that

I honestly believe that some of the players realise that pulis is out of his depth in the prem and that some of their team mates are too. The club is floundering around with no leadership on and off the pitch and a lack of discipline that in itself is quite worrying.

supersmashinggreat Rather than just making a wild generalisation, why not engage the particular posters you have a problem with and debate the merits of their argument. At the match everybody will be 100% behind the team, but this is an internet discussion board FFS. If people are feeling negative, then there really isn't a more appropriate place for them to vent their frustrations. Don't worry admin don't deliver minutes of what's said on here to the players or owt.

I think Pulis needs to get a grip.. Pulis obviously has one eye on next weeks game and has dropped players because of it. He has also chosen to use the game as a competitive excercise for players returning from injury. But the players he used were his players, under his instruction and coaching and he and they failed. As Dennis Smith stated, the players don't know how to play when the ball is passed on the deck, players making wrong runs etc (poor coaching).

The ONLY player to put in a bit of effort today was shawcross...he was the only player that looked like scoring, playing the last 5 or 10 minute CF.
It was the same against Blackburn...60minutes gone, no one could be arsed but it was shawcross running about trying get a bit va va voom going

Well we should have signed another striker to negate the use of Pericard. And I guess playing players out of position is the players faults too? He's 5th choice, which means we've had a quite a few bad breaks of late, culminating with Fuller's stupidity. When Parkin was here he was 6th choice. Parkin is not the answer of course, but at least he had enough about him for someone to want to buy him, unlike Pericard. He would have been 7th choice if the Camara deal hadn't fallen through on the last day of the August window.
