We know Fuller is on £10,000 a week at Stoke, so what would Pericard be on at a guess?
Primarily a reserve player so to hazard a guess £4 to 5,000 per week?
If it is anything like that - have you EVER EVER EVER seen such a complete waste of Money ever in your lives?
Apart from some ridiculous arse crack shaped monument going up on a roundabout in Dudley - I haven't.
He should give the feckin money back!
I know what they mean when they say life's unfair.

Said Fuller would get the maximum fine of 2 weeks wages for the Griffin incident. I took that as 10k per week.
Hang on!!! Do you mean Cressie gets 19 (Nineteen) THOUSAND pounds per week?
If that's the case then we are absolute fucking muppets putting up with the shit we've seen in the last 10 games.

It must also state in Cressy's contract that if he is dropped we have to pay him double

OK. Those people on 19k a year please sit up and take note.
Richard Creswell gets in a week what you get in 52 weeks!
Now tell me he deserves his place in the Stoke City squad!
For fucks sake! Footballs getting absolutely wank!
Come on Phil Taylor! Come on Andy Murray! At least you EARN your money eh!

Just wondering...if a player had a substantial bonus written into his contract to award him an extra few grand a week appearance money, could he not theoretically say to the manager "play me and I'll give you half"?

Post by PMac on Jan 3, 2009 20:05:06 GMT
I guess that could happen TDog - but with the amount of money Pulis earns , £9.5k may not be that much to him?
Pulis earns a seven figure sum having got us to the Prem doesn't he??
I can imagine that happening at lower league clubs and it has been said before - players coming on for England for 30 seconds get "appearance" money.
It's fuckin rotten when we have to work our bollocks off to earn a fraction of what these dicks get.

Well, I have been told by a VERY reliable source that Kitson is the highest payed player at the club by a mile. I won't tell you how much my source told me because most of you might puke up your tea/supper. I'm not just trying to start something off here, I know it's true If you really want to know how much he's on I will tell you. It might not be exact but its damn well close, and then most of you Stokies will notice how stupid TP an PC were signing him, and giving him a flippin amazing deal.

I really would hate to think he's on anywhere near 25k per week mate If that is what he's earning then he has absolutely no right to spit his dummy out when he's subbed during a game. IF he ever scores, just think of the accumulated cost per goal for the bloke! I'd be ashamed if I were him. This just typifies the shambles that football is in these days. Footballers by enlarge do not deserve their status or pay and the money is vastly disproportionate throughout the game. ManCiteh are just about to spoil it even further and - I hope when they do spend their 100 million kitty, they fall flat on their blue noses - much like they did today!

Ive also heard about the 25k a week. I know your all going to hate me for saying this ... but in my opinion hes one of the best, if not the best players in the squad. Hes a proven goal scorer at this level!

If you look at the teams around us and below us there are players on 40k a week +. This is the Premier League, 25k a week for what we thought would be our top Striker is reasonable. There are players on a 120k a week who's teams are just a few points away from us.

There's no way Cressy is on £19k a week, £8k max! The 16k basic (+3k every time he gets on the pitch) revelation is straight from the mouth of his own agent, Mel Stein, in a court case though. So it's hard to argue against.

There's no way Cressy is on £19k a week, £8k max! You'd hope so wouldn't You? But as FM says it was used in a court as evidence so it has to be true.

PMac,, that's the argument I had with Gordon Taylor, long ago. He said how much the likes of tennis players and golfers earned, by comparison and I said that, unlike footballers, they could never just bank on it but had to EARN it.
If you get knocked out in those sports, you lose the opportunity to get more money. If you are knocked out in the first round, you get very little AND still have to pay your own high expenses. Even if you don't play at all in football - Winston Bogard was crap and Dyer and Owen out for months, injured, you still "earn" top money. That's a major factor for so many in the game, right now. Even if moody and uninterested, Defoe would still get top dollar at Pompey.
