im not one to cirtisise pulis too often but he is somewhat blame worthy
playing delap upfront in the 'mama' role wasnt exactly inspired, yes mama runs about alot but he also creates chances because of his phisique delap although can run dosnt do this.
thought tonge and soares were disappointing. should have been working their arses off all game showing tony why he should be picking them.
kitson looked a class above them when he came on but tried too much dicking about, maybe wrong decisions because of a lack of confidence and we would have had half a chance if he was fit enough to play from the start. with maybe shawcross playing off him, flicking stuff on.
lawrence, thank fuck hes back was very impressed with him chasing back even at two nil down
and as for pericard, im fuckin irate at the career guidance councilor who told him he could be a fucking footballer because its a sport he dosnt appear to have a clue about. not even that the number of times he just didnt contest balls. i hope he never plays for us again.

agree liam looked well fired up for it and seemed like the most likely creator from when he came on. Kitson played ok but didn't get much to work with, and as you say lack of confidence hopefully explains the notable mistakes he made. Maybe tone should buy him a hypnotherapy cd to get him back on course

So, despite the dire loss, Lawrence back, Kitson back, who knows, maybe Mama back for liverpool ? or is that being just to optimistic?

Davies was at fault for the opening goal. You cannot push people off the pitch and get away with it. All he had to do was shield the ball out of play.

My thoughts on our starting 11 are as follows;
Simmo - I like Simmo but sitting on the 2nd row, right behind the goal, he is just far too quiet. He shouts, but he doesn't scream and those ahead of him seem unsure as to whether he is "coming" or "staying - no chance with the goals though
Davies - Rubbish. Absolute rubbish and signed surely only to ensure that TP's son secured a 3 year contract with another club
Dicko - Simply not good enough and showing no signs of improvement at all. One attempt pass to Kitson was particularly pathetic
Shawcross - Did the work of all his back 4 today. Excellent
Sonko - Appalling. Total rubbish and a waste of 2m. Can't tackle, can't run, and totally abysmal with the ball anywhere near his feet. At fault for first goal as well I think though difficult to tell from my position in the away end.
Soares - Rubbish. Can't seem to control the ball which makes it very difficult for a winger to run with the ball.
Whelan - Tried his best but reminded me of Dave Brammer today. Never hid, but did very little right.
Olifinjana - I like him but he was at his very worst today. Very inconsistent and not justifying anywhere near his price tag.
Tonge - Obvious quality on the ball, but the guy simply cannot run. He is actually slower than Parkin was.
Delap - Not a centre forward as we all know
Pericard - Not a footballer as we all know. If this game doesn't signify the end of his Stoke City career then Pulis should be sacked for gross misconduct
Kitson - Slow, laboured and out of sorts. Missed a glorious opportunity to open his account, not even getting a shot away. Doesn't want to play for us and we need to be shut of him as quick as possible...subject to replacements of course
Lawrence - Looked OK and hopefully will be fit to return. He is too important not to have started today though and 60-70 minutes would have done him and us the world of good.
Doesn't make for pleasant reading does it?

That is a grim list Dave. I think Davies might come good though if he can get a bit of match sharpness: he's been out for a while. From what I heard of the game, the most embarrassing thing was 4 Premier League midfielders failing to put two passes together all game.
