There got your attention because you only seem to be looking at the doom and gloom
I just realised its the FA Cup. Torquay beating blackpool, Barrow HOLDING Middlebrough (when would that ever happen), Forest Green! I think we may have over reacted and its our turn to take the hit. We never have really been a cup team and possibly took for granted the Quarter-Final (read it properly!) that we already have had this year. These things happen in football. Remember when we wished that we did what Hartlepool did today against the likes of Everton in 2000(?).
Yeah we've been on a bad run and things havent been going our way. But look at the Fuller incident, the over reaction and short sightedness of that. Its the cup, it would have been great for a run and yes we played utterly crap and I applaud those who went today all 476 of you. Let's just look at the bigger picture
Liverpool are coming to the Brit on Saturday

I think the bigger picture is the last 23 mate...
Yes our form at the moment is utterly crap but we knew there was going to be a bad spell but we have to enjoy the period that we are up here before it could be too late. Then we will really have something to moan about

Oh poor Forest Green, 2-2 against a championship side with the first ever time in the 3rd round. Its the FA cup so cheer up, if we'd have lost to Hartlepool in the league...

Just shows how football is at the moment. Hughes, manages the 'richest' club in the world, a side worth £100m+ and yet they sit right above little old stoke in the league in our forst season in the prem. Does that make Tone a good manager or Hughes and 3/4 of other prem managers sitting right above us shit?

I think Hughes is doing shit. I think TP is doing well. But since Arsenal we have been playing woefully. And since Mama got injured we still hoof it like he's there. We need to sort the tactics and play a bit more. We can do it, they just need faith installed into them by the manager. We needed to adapt in the Fulham game and we didn't and we're still in the same predicament. This shows to me TP hasn't a clue what to do at the minute and just doesn't trust his players. He needs to sort it out because we are playing woefully at the minute.

What worries me more about this transfer window is his reluctance to take a chance on a foreign player. Like the one Sonko suggested, Dindane, or any of the others that we say we fly all around europe every other week watching.
These players would jump at the chance to play in the prem, even if we are sitting in a low poisition at the moment.
To take say, Benjani, yes we could afford the fee, but we have to convince somone to come off say £50k a week to come to stoke for say £20k a week.
Listen to your scouts Tone. If they say someone is good enough, go get 'em.

I don't think we would get Benjani to be honest. I reckon Henri Camara and Lita are more realistic and affordable targets who would suit our style of play. Think Etherington would be be a quality signing and would poberbly be available from West ham

You can't gloss over our rubbish result by saying "look at other teams".
I don't CARE about OTHER TEAMS!
I care about Stoke City!

Today was a miserable crawling defeat against a very poor side. We are a shambles and there is no excuse.
